Its not SOCOM
Time for hype
If anything you'd think the focus on a better single-player campaign would've helped to hedge its chances against the PSN outage (which would, say, have completely annihilated Confrontation)

It is just hard for full price games to compete. There are big brands which sell and the rest have to be quite excellent to get into people's wishlist of day 1 purchases.
1. It's been too long since the last good Socom (Socom 3)
2. It strayed way too far from past games
3. PSN outage
4. Average/Bad reviews

Psn outage on top of it being just a very stale series now.. there always trying to go away from what made socom ...socom.. dont understand that theory

Psn shortage might be the main coprate behind this or the fact yo had mortal kombat and portal 2 come too.
