Their numbers are completely different than those of vgchartz.  There is a huge difference.

Wii :

Nexgenwars : 13 millions

VGchartz : 18.5 millions

360:

Nexgenwars : 12.5 millions

VGchartz : 15.5 millions

PS3:

Nexgenwars : 5.5 millions

VGchartz : 8.5 millions

To me it's obvious that nexgenwars.com is a joke site.  They probably get their numbers out of their asses.

They have been a joke for a while but they were never intended to be a joke.


For the longest time their numbers were just timed increments at intervals completely made up. They revamped their site and for some reason never updated their numbers to something reasonable. I think they may just be sticking with the latest quarterly data.

They have not adjusted the number of approximate seconds, the Wii, Playstation 3, or Xbox 360 console has sold, for a long time, so that is the reason the sales totals of the consoles are now very inaccurate.

 I have known that for a long time. I think it was in August when VGChartz announced that the Wii had surpassed the 360 that nexgenwars upped the sales of each console on that site. I think it was in October when the Wii passed 360 on that site. The consoles were increasing on that site automatically at the same rate in August as it was in Novemeber and December during the holiday shopping season. That site is horrible. VGChartz FTW! ^_^

It was credible up until about May of this year, and then it just became totally off and wrong. Right now it's a joke...no one visits it anymore.

Nextgenwars.com has a traffic rank of: 1,697,708.

And, their traffic is decreasing.

ok...but that is a different website. We are talking about nexgenwars. There is no "t" in the name of the site. It is at rank 37,750.

VGChartz is at 11,482. 

The site is run by a college kid. He set up the site a few months ago and has now abandoned it. He never bothers updating it anymore.

I guess it's a nice way to make money without doing any work. I'd do the same thing if I'd have thought of it.
