Forums - Nintendo Discussion - All right gamrConnect, we're going to play Zelda games together!

I'm done with the water temple in master quest. Since you get the longshot very quick, it's much easier.

Go buy Metroid OTHER M!

So who is playing Skyward Sword?

I'm in the middle of the 4th of X? dungeons (I would guess the number of dungeons has been mentioned somewhere on the interwebz, but I don't know it myself. Given what has happened so far there are a minimum of 6 before the final one, which makes 7.... but there may be quests invisible to me atm (for example twilight realm in TP was a kind of pre-final dungeon)

wow you're really going fast, how much time have you been playing it?

Not sure what it was then but just short of 30 hours now (I got it on Thursday morning btw, so it's been about 70 hours since I started, wow almost half my time was spent on it) I am now on my way towards dungeon 6 (though could be 1-2 hours before I get to the start of it) It really is just getting better and better.

The fade on the art style is magnificent, and the controls seem smooth, though i wish almost for a different button layout (i keep thinking i'm playing Monster Hunter, and so press C to try to dash and try to use the d-pad for camera).

The only thing i've had trouble with is falling controls. It feels unintuitive to have to be pointing down to gain control over your direction

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Pointing down?

The falling controls are the same as flight, swimming and beetle-flight controls.... it's nothing to do with pointing at the screen it's about the angle of your controller. A level controller means you fall straight down or fly/swim straight forward. Tilting it in any direction makes you move or turn in that direction.

Flying i figured out easily, but falling i just flew all over the place. It was almost pure luck that i even passed that tutorial, though i'll grant they didn't give you a lot of distance in which to gain control...

Man! I'm replaying TP again for the 3rd time, and I must say it's a fantastic game!
