the jak and daxter series was hard! it was one of the ps2's best games imo! (jak x is a strong exception though because it kind of sucks! jak 2 was the best jak game out there!)

YES!
Crash, Spyro, Abe, Tombi, Mario, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank etc. The platforming genre is easily the most fun genre. It is a shame not so many are being made these days.
Platformers- the gateway drug of gaming. I began with games like Mario, and eventually moved on to every single genre there is! I want my daughter to be a gamer too, but platformers are few and far between- and Mario Galaxy is too hard for her. Thank goodness for the DS! 2D platformers forever!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this. Care to elaborate?
Platformers? That's my specialty.
Mario, Sonic, Ratchet, Jak, Crash, Spyro, Banjo... Got to love them all.
But...
Jak's first game on the PS2 was just outstanding. Than he went sour. He "turned to the dark side." Yes, I own all of his games, only out of respect to the first one. They are decent, but they just don't live up to the original one.
Sonic sucks now.
Crash sucks now.
Spyro sucks now.
Banjo? Where have you been for over 10 years?
Mario... At least you never let us down...
