Bad... very bad.
I didn't play Alan Wake but I always cheer for new IPs to have commercial success even outside PS3.

so they had no advertising and were expecting it to pull fable/forza numbers. like seriously wtf, they advertise the shit outta every thing they produce even crackdown 2 but don't advertise wake. i am hating the direction microsoft is going to and if they don't publish wake 2 i am not buying xbox 3 as they will continue on the same path (even though i own kinect and am excited for ryse, future warrior they are just doing fable/forza/halo/gears) and not allowing new ips to shine, i dont mind them going for sequels but atleast have a new ips too. alan wake was the game i enjoyed the most :P.
Alan Wake is better off being a multiplatform title to be honest. The better it sells, the quicker we get a sequal.
It'll happen eventually, especially if it's just a XBLA game.

Well kind of normal, at the beginning it was promised to be an huge open world game but at the end it was an rather short linear game that I rather would consider a must rent and I think many did in the end.
Well of course it didn't meet expectations thats what happens when you have straight up ZERO advertising for a game and release it on the same day as Red Dead Redemption.
If Alan Wake 2 never happens it will be one of the most dissapointing things thats happened this generation.
I fully agree that a sequel is a MUST for this franchise. The first one was awesome.
