Forums - Sales Discussion - RAGE will Flop... too little, too late.

Early reviews are coming in a little lower than I expected. I was thinking high 8's. Still, I think games like Dead Nation and Homefront have shown that, at least with FPS, review scores don't pre-determine sales. And given anywhere in the 8s means a great game the word of mouth for this game should give it good legs, on 360 at least.

Hope you are not dissapointed by the review and score!

81 Metacritic.. GameReactor gave it an 8 and 7 in second opinion. The graphics seem to have flaws and isn't great all the way through according to GR Sweden. They also said the graphical hype wasn't exactly met. The reviewer was dissapointed with the graphics basically.

The Americas Preview has RAGE around 475,000 units on both PS3 and 360 and Aldro.

 Game Chronicles

Rage looks like a launch title for whatever system Xbox is planning for us next. I still can't believe my six year old Xbox 360 is capable of delivering the graphics and the gameplay I've been enjoying for the past week.

Gaming Nexus

RAGE is easily one of the best games of 2011. The game is stunningly gorgeous, the gameplay is incredibly varied, and the entire experience is insanely addictive.

GamingTrend

Graphically there is nothing on the console that compares, and in terms of the complete package, it delivers in every way.

Planet Xbox 360

The gameplay, both driving and shooting, is wild, gory fun; the graphics raise the bar on how a next-generation product is supposed to look.

VideoGamer

Rage is a technical powerhouse, and if you can overlook the bits that don't quite work, you'll find one of the most exciting shooters we've had in years.

My game for the holidays, I exspected it to be good, but so far my imoression is excellent (only from reviews and vids).

It even beats Gear 3 and Skyrim on my wishlist. I guess both Rage and Deus Ex are the candidates for GOTY.
