Is he for real??? He says the game is not on-rails, but then says that you spend most of your time on a horse, that you dont control??? The guy didnt even mention how you will move, I want to see how this plays out, because this guy does not have a great track record, when it comes to promising things
Really, just add a nav controller, screw this noise about not wanting to copy

I believe you still have to control the direction the horse travels.  I think this has some good ideas, kind of like a scribblenauts but with actions to create items.

If traveling across the land of Albion is done only on Horse or in carriage then carriage sections must be on rails in order to allow for combat and Horse sections provide no combat at all.

Hopefully we see some true gameplay soon. There should be no problem in doing so either since Peter wanted more time to show it off properly.

Looking forward to whatever comes next. Gamescon?

If you read what he said, you use magic while your on your horse. With that said, I'm still opstimistic about the game. I need to see more gameplay to be convinced.

Alright cool. I was sitting here emulating riding a horse and controlling with one arm while swinging a sword on either side, like done in so many movie, lol.

This is why I also said I am looking forward to see more.

Next time I will take the time to read the entire article though.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Show me some game play with a proper navigation using Kinect. Till then I'm not buying a Kinect. Unless MS drop their slogan for Kinect, I won't be seeing navigating controller like the Wii/Move.

Well that certainly is promising!

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Basically, think about it like real life, how would you control a horse sitting in a carraige?

You would whip the ropes in your hand to make the horse move, if you stop whipping your the horse would eventually stop (or you can probably stop immediately by pulling the ropes hard). Plus besides that you can change the direction of the horse with more hand/body motions. I think its a very good prospect.

I can tell you are not a rabid supporter of Kinect, or any of its titles, but at least give the game a chance, these guys are good at what they make.

the man said that most of the game would be on horse and carragie. So it does in face sound like it will be mostly on rails. This is not going to be like the regular Fable games where your going to play the entire game sans controller. Plus, this is Pete we are talking about, maybe if it was some other guy, but he makes promises for games that he cant keep. I like the tech of Kinect, i do. but outside of exercise and dancing nothing else has impressed me. But if im wrong ill eat crow

This is what im getting at they barely mentioned how one would navigate, when your on foot. And the fact that there will be little of the game on foot has me worried. But WTH, at best this could be a good horse rider simulator with some magic elements

Hmm it actually sounds a bit more promising now but i still have my doubts.

I still had my doubts reading the original post. Initially I thought rails with some slack, but after a bit more digging. I am happy to say it isn't looking that way. While he is known for embellishment I don't think he would claim that the world is larger with free range of exploration without that being the case. I am still however concerned with the lack of other mechanics being discussed. Anyone else notice he has referred to crafting in the game a couple of times now,

Don't care, still passing on it.
