It's been almost exactly a month since I last posted anything, but I finally finished a new article - about the top 10 Vita localizations that should've happened. Let me know what you think of it and if there are any games you'd like to have seen that we didn't get in the west :)

I guess the reactivity here isn't as vivid as on the Vita subreddit, so I just like to point out here that you covered pretty much everything there is to see about localizations. As for my input, don't you think that the region free "advantage" the vita may also be the reason we're not getting some titles, especially the very niche "otome" ones ? Hardcore fans of that genre wouldn't hesitate to import a game upon its release, and not many would agree to double dip on the same title.

Thanks for the kind words.  That's probably a very legitimate point about the otome stuff, but with that said there seems to be a small niche of western gamers who are interested - and honestly, I do believe that the people who play these in Japanese will double-dip for the good ones (like Code;Realize).  You just have to look at the response to Spike Chunsoft's poll which put Kenka Bancho Otome as #1 to see that there's demand for this stuff.

Region free is great though.  It means I can play things like Tales of Hearts R & Ukiyo and muddle through with google translate.

I don't believe a new vita is being made for one second especially after the way they killed the vita, but you never know.

Well the speculation was it was PS4 based (i.e. PS4 games would work) which would make sense. It fits their philosophy perfectly as it would allow a handheld to exist, without them having the outright support it.

The NX seems more like a Dual Handheld and Home console... is kinda the same, and kinda different.. As it seems like it will be the same system... but convertible in both...

Technically this could mean a PS4 Portable handheld... all current PS4 games could end being playable there... But it makes me worry about retrocompatibility with current Vita games...

Imo, if there's any substance to this rumor, it's that it'll be a Vita remodel. Final version (like we had 3 of PSP), slimmer and lighter, possibly more RAM, possibly without proprietary memory.

That way they can eek out the final few million sales from Japan/Asia and a small boost from worldwide. Possibly get some of the indie devs back who jumped ship because Vita wasn't powerful enough.

It won't be a successor. And I can't see there being any market for a remote play device.

Guys stop the insanity. How could a portable PS4 work?! The price of components would be astronomical and how would it run ps4 games? Surely it's not gonna have a Blu-ray drive. It would need a 500GB HD with the size of games. Those things are expensive. 100€ +
