The Limited Run Games release of Soldner X2 was up when I made that post.  There's a second batch happening in 1 hour 45 minutes if anyone missed that one.

I don't get it. Were there two batches, a standalone version and a soundtrack bundle ? cause both seemed to have 3200 copies each and both are already sold out.

There are 3200 copies altogether.  They're listed in two batches of 1600 copies - one at 3pm (UK time); one at 11pm.

So the first batch sold out in like 10 minutes at 3pm, but there will be anther listing at 11pm (30 mins from now).

Perhaps batch was the word that confused people? :P

Not sure if anyone's interested, but Glitched (a "fourth wall breaking RPG") just added a Vita stretch goal at $35k (currently at $15k)

Interesting observation is that the PS4 release is still about 50% in stock after 20 minutes despite fewer units.

That may have something to do with the fact that Breach & Clear is a grey-brown top down shooter and Soldner is a colourful shmup.

But yeah, this happened on the earlier batch too - Soldner gone after 10 minutes; B&C took 1 hr 30 mins to go.

I think we're seeing the beginnings of small but extremely dedicated Vita fanbase vs. large but flooded by other games PS4 fanbase.  One thing's for sure - LRG had better start getting their PS4:Vita ratio a bit closer after the last few games.

Indeed, but I seem to recall Octodad and Futuridium also sold more quickly on Vita than on PS4. So yeah I think you're right.

Breach and Clear had fewer units, larger userbase and people were able to buy 2 copies.

I don't believe all the Vita sales are eBay Scalpers in the slightest. As B&C would sell more quickly if it was with the 2 units per person aspect. So yeah, dedicated physical Vita fanbase which could well mean some more high profile digital only titles might also start to see some special Limited Run (or equivalent) collaborations.

Btw for people who missed Soldner X2, Limited Run have confirmed they're reviewing all the orders and hope to be able to do a final batch for peopel who missed out if they notice any discrepencies (I think the speed of the sale has taken them by surprise, with it being one of the bigger production runs they've done)

I was on shitty work wifi so even though it showed it have plenty of stock of Soldner when I added it to my cart it said there was no stock. First time I've had this issue so looks like I may have to bite the bullet on an over priced copy if I can't secure a canceled one.

just finished Ys VIII, it took about 43 hours to do everything the game had to offer. Such a great adventure game. I feel tired so i probably won't play any games for the next couple of days ^^

you know a game is great when you don't want to play anything for a while after you finish it :p

It's amazing that I can play a game like this towards the end of vita's life. Just the Falcom library alone has made this system more than worth it for me (Trails sky, Zero, Ao, Sen I, Sen II, Ys celceta and Ys VIII). gg Falcom, bring on Sen III please !!!
