Star Ocean 5 producer Shûichi Kobayashi recently had an interview with French fan sites Final Fantasy World, Final Fantasy Dream and DB-Z. Though I won't translate the whole discussion because it's not relevant to this subreddit, there is a part about Star Ocean 2 and PS Vita that... Well, it says a lot about Square Enix and the Vita in the West:

FFW : You released Star Ocean: The Second Story on PS4 and Vita last year in Japan, and I would like to know if you plan to do the same in the West.

Kobayashi : Actually, I'm not the producer of Star Ocean: The Second Story, so this decision isn't mine. But I think it would be great to release it worldwide. I can talk with the producer, if you want it. But you don't need the PS Vita version here, do you?

FFW : Well, players often complain that Square Enix doesn't publish any game on PS Vita in Europe.

Kobayashi : Really? I didn't know that. The best would be to release on both platforms of course. I'll discuss about it as soon as I can.

LOL, nothing surprising there, Final Fantasy world had vita version probably because it had the name FF in it, and sony probably pushed it a bit as well.

you don't need the vita version here do you ? Haha, It's funny because he sounds sincere and it's depressing at the same time. Not surprising though.

Finally, It has arrived !

Not strictly Vita related, but footage of the unreleased Elder Scrolls PSP game, which looked ace.

This, Saints Row... man, PSP missed out on some cool stuff:

Such a shame. Had it and Saints Row been released, the psp would have been perceived as a well supported console until the end and that would have likely helped the vita too. Most of the people I know felt that the psp didn't get much support at the end of its life and didn't wanna risk similar support with the vita.
