Err... WHAT?  That's awesome!  Instant import!  (I really enjoyed Gundam Breaker.  I know this won't be exactly the same, but still, Gundam in English is on-point!)

This winter is sooner i expected which is awesome wish Gundam breaker and the super robot wars were also traslated.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Ok, i havent read it all yet, and while i wont disagree that the Vita has always been in trouble, i'm glad it keeps soldering on. Theres a couple of squeenix exclusives coming aswell like Saga and Mana.

Now for things like Danganrompa going on PS4, you have to understand the japanese market and what Sony is doing. Look at the future. Its obvious a portable gaming device is not gonna work for Sony anymore. Its very unlikely they will make one just for the japanese market.

The home console market has been shrinking for years in japan, and not only Sony with the PS home console, but japanese publishers can't aim for japan alone. So, Sony and the big japanese publishers are seriously pushing for the PS4 to revive the japanese home console market.

Danganrompa like the new Ys and several others were efforts from Sony to have those franchises on the home console and revive that market, not so much because the Vita doesnt work for those games.

Still, we knew the Vita has always been in trouble and aslong as those japanese games come over, i couldn't be happier. Though, i really want them to, and thats what worries me. It will suck if the likes of Saga are Japan only. I would like to see some more confidence from Sony on the Vita at the PSX. We all know it doesnt make much money, but its a great device that deserves to be loved. So, no need to kill it while theres still games beeing made for it.

I do understand this argument, absolutely, but I don't see why Sony can't have a device for the smaller games that don't work as well on home consoles.  The Japanese third-party market would certainly embrace it and it wouldn't require much effort from Sony either.

I don't see why Sony are stripping Vita of what little it has left just to try and prop up one market for them - especially when plenty of the games just don't make as much sense on it (I feel VN's are out of place on home consoles; as are hunting games which rely on local co-op).

I'm doubtful about the Squeenix games.  I think we've got a chance of things like Dragon Quest Builders thanks to the PS4 version, but retail is questionable.  I'd be shocked if we get SaGa in the west.

I'm hopeful for a strong PSX showing for Vita.  The western stuff seems sorted given the leaks, but I kinda hope Sony have picked up a game or two of their own like they did with Yakuza.  Phantasy Star Nova would be the biggest game they could get which doesn't seem like it's coming over, so that'd be cool.

Is it safe to say that final fantasy adventures on the vita is a real thing :P

Yeah definitly. That is all that i ask of Sony. To not give up on it and keep localising games. I would still really love to have Tales of Innocence R, besides all the good stuff that has been announced.

As for Sony's strategy, well its what they went for. I wouldnt say it was the smartest, but they could only do something like that with the next console. Rumors are that Nintendo is doing that, so who knows... Sony might follow suit if its sucessful.

I'm on my phone so won't put too much.

Agree with Kres on quite a bit. For me its no Vita ver of GR2 that's the kicker. If does confirm we're at the end of any meaningful attempt of support from Sony themselves.

As for Danganronpa. I think it's as much an attempt at expanding their audience, particularly in the West. It's quite clear now great Vita exclusives just disappoint people because they can't play them (buy a Vita? But they cost 10x more than a 3DS with memory cards you need a mortgage to buy and there are no games worth playing) so it could bolster western sales a bit and at the very least continue to provide digital Vita content in the West.

Long term though, to me it looks like the market is heading towards a battle of eco systems rather than a battle of individual hardware. NX points that way. IOS and Android are already there " devices of varying form factors and power"

Not 100% cross compatibility, but certainly getting there.

It is also interesting that there is a dedicated Vita reference on the FIFA 16 demo.

Also, after Tearaway's seemingly bombastic debut (at least in the UK). It will be interesting to see how well Gravity Rush is received.

If it doesn't set the charts alight (and part of me hopes it doesn't, because as freedom wars shows, saying on forums petitions etc you want something and will buy it, and actually doing so are 2 different things) it could be more the exclusives they put on Vita hadnt got any real appeal anyway.

World Trigger gameplay (looks like an import to me!)

Also Minecraft: Story Mode confirmed for Vita yet again, coming at a later date:

Speaking of which, where the hell are Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones?  I hope they're going to be retail compilations later on.

Looks really good!!!

Right? It looks like a sped up Freedom wars...perfect!

on the topic of tearaway and GR2..tearaway bombed HARD in the UK. I don't expect US to be any different. This should be a good wake up call to the idiots who kept saying 'yay tearaway ps4, the game deserves to be successsful so no worries about a vita verson" lol

GR2 will have a much much bigger production budget than GR1 on vita. It will also probably get some marketing push. So the overall budget would be much larger which means = need more sales to even break even. Lack of a vita version is a waste of opportunity especially in JP market. I love the IP so I want it to grow and keep on going but don't be surprised if it also sells well below par.
