It's unfair that so many niche devs find Vita to be a valid platform, yet no big player cares to grace it with any big franchise game.

Agree with your disappointment, but the two things could be related. Vita is struggling, big developer/franchises desert it, hence an opportunity opens up for dungeon crawler, otome games and other niche products to shine and have some play and attention from the users.

On the other hand, little developers could avoid Nintendo because they can't compete with Mario or Pokemon.

The thing that gets me though, is why can't the big devs make smaller titles, similar to these niche games and slap the name of their big franchise on it. I'm aware there is no chance to get a full-blown FF game, etc. but they could form a small team that would make a similar dungeon crawler with FF flavour. Just like Hyrule Warriors is a typical musou game but with Zelda flavour slapped on it. I mean, they make these shitty mobile games, why not make such small projects? It's not like Japanese devs have found much success with their top products in the last gen. Oh well, I'm still mainly interested in older wRPGs and I'm still hoping Sony ports some of them soon.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I would say that it's because of the need to protect the IP. Publishers are very risk averse and relying on fewer franchises these days, and watering down the name like that would put their flagship franchises in jeopardy.

I would say that, but then Square slaps Final Fantasy on everything, including irredeemable trash like All the Bravest. So I don't really know the answer.

Satisfied with it at that price? Been debating for months on it.

Haven't started it yet. I've just been in an adventure game/visual novel mood lately, so I jumped on it when I saw it wasn't $40 for once. Gonna get into it once I finally finish 100%ing FFX-2.

Spring Fever offers with 8 PS4 games.. but six of them are Crossbuy with PSVita, so we can take chance of the 10% for PLUS users (Axiom Verge and Bastion will release later...)

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/02/26/spring-fever-2015-8-weeks-8-new-ps4-games-ps-plus-discounts/

Actually 7 of them are coming to Vita, but 2 of them are launching later so no discount by that point, unless they're cross buy in the future and you still get the Vita version getting it on PS4).

Either way, great little lineup of games coming in the near future. I just can't catch a break with trying to hack away at this backlog, it's just getting bigger and bigger and now March/April will only make things a lot worse!

Yeah... seven games... I missed one.. just Jamestown+ is not coming.. and the other two ARE CROSSBUY Actually... it says that there on the Blog entry, just below the list with the prices:

*Cross Buy title

**Launching later on PS Vita – Cross Buy with PS4

X-Blaze Code Embryo has been at 21.42$ since last week on Amazon.. I have it on my Cart but right now my curier (P.O.Box) isn't receiving anything due to high demand of their services... I myself am waiting a lot of things since last year and since Janaury and febraury.. they pretty messy right now -.-

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IA2O0W4/ref=gno_cart_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

@Augen: Half the retail price is pretty good for a Visual novel.. and Aksys games don't get cheaper fast on Digital.. and some are very limited on Physical... And if the game will please you, depends how much an You get engrossed  with the lecture and how much You like Japanese voice acting (It have english voices? Not sure  of this, Aksys games usually have.).. Is a TOTALLY Story Driven game... If you like and have played Blazblue games and its story you can like it more. Because Xblaze is set hundres of years before BB serie...

I was thinking exactly about this game. If they make such crap, they could make a decent dungeon crawler with the same budget as the niche companies, but using characters from older FF games and voila. Would sell more than any other Vita jRPGs, aside from P4G, just because it has FF on the cover. And maybe, just maybe, we'd get a decent game or two out of it and it would surely help the sales of the console. But no, we get All the Bravest instead...

I think you've probably hit the nail on the head. Square Enix are just an enigma. Nothing they do really makes sense. I guess they're the exception that proves the rule?

That said, Namco putting an exclusive Digimon out for Vita is a pretty nice contribution. I guess God Eater 2 has so far justified it as being a potentially viable format for them, and they don't have to compete with Pokemon or Yokai's Watch.

I suppose no Monster Hunter has also helped God Eater establish itself even more on PlayStation.

been getting back into freedom wars but the difficult jump from code 6 to code 7 is insane, and I keep getting my ass handed to me by the final boss; by those damn chains....ugh...tips?

The best tip is to do it online. With four players, or even 2-3 players and a bot or two, it goes from being a huge pain in the ass to an absolute joke.

Otherwise, hole up near the door and tell your party to cover you so that you can thorn revive them pretty easily when they go down. Then it's just a war of attrition. There is a certain pattern to the boxes you can cut off, but I don't remember which chain goes to which box. Anyway, just know that that once you cut off the box it belongs to, that chain can't revive anymore.

worked beautifully, thanks
