Kresnik said: Seems like it's getting a retail release in Europe. Activision are weird. Also reading through one of the GAF threads, it seems Stranger in Sword City will be coming across some point either late this year or early next year. Eep. |
Hehe nice! :)
is it at least Vita exclusive?

3DS is getting it too. I wouldn't get your hopes up :p that said, it sadly is the kind of game that needs to be on shelves. Though my Grainger appears to have dropped Vita now, they just had 4 games on a random shelf hidden in a corner last weekend. Either that or Vita sales went incredibly well over Xmas. My money is on dropped it :p

Ok. :P
Does make me wonder why Vita didn't/isn't getting the TMNT game. I presumed it was down to Activision dropping the console.
Will be interesting to see how Disney Infinite performs, as that could well pave the way to Skylanders.
Ok one question: Why is there no Vita Minecraft bundle??? This thing would sell like hotcakes. ^^

Because Sony (or to avoid lawsuits with Microsoft or something, who knows?)
Some stores like Game or Amazon sell a "bundle" with a Vita and a Minecraft copy, though it's their own bundle they make, not an offcial Sony bundle.

No longer available on Amazon but it did a few weeks ago.
Sony must be watching this thread, because as soon as I post that boxart they upload this (SpongeBob HeroPants trailer):

Yeah, my Grainger cut back their section too, it's now just one shelf. And they've expanded the PS2 section again (my lord, that console still has a lot of shelf space in some GAME stores. In my local CEX it still has more than WiiU + Vita + 3DS combined).

Lol.
What I feel is interesting is: what is causing this support? There's no way these ports can be profitable for publishers. But here we are - Amazing Spiderman; Disney Infinity; SpongeBob HeroPants.
Spiderman I put down to some contractual clause that needed it to be on all current consoles or something (wru Spiderman 2).
Disney Infinity, I presume, is some kind of favour from Disney after Sony ported Epic Mickey 2 themselves (that's the only explanation I can come up with).
SpongeBob though... I dunno. Maybe they have to put it on one platform from each platform holder and chose Vita because it's easier to port to :P
