How many vita games do you have in your library?

0-10 184 31.51%

11-20 109 18.66%

21-30 69 11.82%

30+ 215 36.82%

Total:577

So, I picked up MXGP and Invizimals: The Alliance for Vita today. The latter was £3, so I thought for that price I might as well give it a try. The former was £15 but I traded some stuff in towards it, and I've always wanted to try one of Milestone's Vita efforts so I thought I might as well (I was really after WRC4, but that seems impossible to find).

I've got SAO and Soul Sacrifice Delta coming from Play-Asia later in the month too. I've gone well over my budget for Vita games this month, whoops. And next month (in terms of when I get paid) is Freedom Wars and Tales of Hearts R. Whoops!

I personally prefer Jap dubs over English if i have a choice. Not saying that English dub aren't good, but it sounds weird when they pronounced any Japanese names in english slang.....like Yamamoto, Sakura, etc.
Oh and Akiba's Trip, Danganronpa english dub are cringeworthy at least to me. You won't hear Monokuma's "uppupupupu" laugh and "ahoahoahoahoahoahoahoaho" chant from a guy (don't wanna spoil anything hehe) in english dub, just saying.

Pretty, pretty please give me some impressions on Invizmals. I've been waiting for this series to hit US shores for years but reviews don't seem terribly positive.

I'm 100% for the original language + subtitles, instead, EXPECIALLY if Japanese.
Both from a philologic and pholosophyc point of view, and also beacuse it speeds localization and reduces its costs.

But I can understand the opposite point of view.
Also, reading some European reviews on Amazon, I suspect that Toukiden might have sold more, if dubbed.

It's a real drama in France. If a game is not in french (at least the subtitles), it's bad. I saw some 0/20 in "user" reviews for Danganronpa 2 by guys who didn't play the game and just wrote "I didn't play because the game is in english, it's unacceptable and should be banned". It's ridiculous.

Well that's kinda characteristical for the French. In Poland we don't care at all, though the used copies of games that are in Polish are worth a bit more than used copies of the same game without the translation (imports, etc.). It's only 1-2 Euro of a difference, but still.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I still believes that Digimon will get localized. Namco Bandai are rarely abandoning markets outside Japan.
They just need to put english language in game and subtitles.......no need dubs. Thus, less budget to get worried about (just like Freedom Wars, SAO, etc)

Digimon is a kids game, with adult appeal. The biggest mistake they can make is cheap out with no dub, it'll lose alot of appeal. Also, after the horrible Translation work of SAO, Tales is the last Sub only release game I'll accept from them. I'd rather not support a game they are just doing rush translation for.

Thats not gonna happen unless sales of SAO and ToHR are really good.

Personally i dont mind at all. Anime based games are better on their native languages.

I think Digimon Rumble is way more important in the choice they choose. Seeing the way they announced it was saying they're basically using it to see if Digimon has a gaming audience outside Japan. Games can easily be dubbed at cheaper prices than you might believe, which is why some companies, especially smaller ones do it. The bigger companies only do it for big names and games they want to promote. Also, "Anime based games are better on their native languages." I don't agree in the slightest seeing Sword Art Online would have been so much better if it was dubbed. None of the nonsense that happened would be a issue

So, why would a terrible localization suddenly be better by taking the same bad localization and hampering it English language (as in chaning lines to accomadate the game not being programmed for English lip sync).

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Will do once I get chance to play it (probably at the weekend :P)

Umm I don't know? Because they actually have to read a script, meaning they'll look at the sentence and be like "wtf is this, it doesn't make sense". I'm sorry but I can't believe you realistically asked that question.

Looks like I'm going to buy Freedom Wars day one after all. The only problem is Tales of Heats which will have to wait until december since I'm buying LBP3 that month.

Thank you ever so kindly. I adore the premise and think it might be fun despite reviews but it's always best to hear first hand accounts.

So, I bought Natural Doctrine and tried it last night.

After 2 battles, the gameplay seems interesting and complex, the tutorials show the basic stuff but it's still complicated to understand everything.

Most importantly, the game is not forgiving. I misplaced my support character once, game over. Good to see a challenging T-RPG, I'll see how the battles evolve.
