You are spreading disinformation. The tales series isnt expected to sell a million abroad or something. Its a game aimed at the japanese market. If a localisation sells 300k its already quite sucessful.

Tales of Hearts R has an even cheaper localisation because it doesnt feature english voice over. The game itself was already low budget to start with. If it sells 100k, it would already be a sucess, especially considering the installed userbase in comparison to the ps3.

Well, I think that only a production manager from Namco can consciously say how much sales of a certain product will grant a break even.

Anyway, if such goal is 100K, I think that, between Europe and North America, it can be reached, even without including download sales. Perhaps not in the first week.

None of the last gen Tales games hit 300k in the West. If you kept reading, you see where I emphasized Xillia 2 (less than half of Xillia) after Xillia did just ok.

I actually read the thread backwards. But yeah, i didnt piece together that part.

Xillia 2 didnt universally did worse though. Opening week for it was bigger in europe than the first Xillia.

Of course, that i just my educated guess at the feeback given from localisation companies such as NISA, XSEED, etc. wich usually reveal themselves happy with sales of games around 100k and Namco themselves when they revealed they were happy with western sales of the tales series with graces and xillia. They include english dubbing on their games so i presumed i was beeing extra pessimistic with my estimate as its likely that the Hearts R localisation is even cheaper cause its only text. Heck, its comparable to a fan translation.

So, I'm scared of downloading the 3.3 update because SAO doesn't have a save option. It only autosaves which I don't entirely trust.

Maybe backup the game first? Losing progress is bad though.

I admit I was ignoring its performance in Europe. Since the region is so averse to JRPGs, I don't even bother keeping track.

I really don't get what's the issue? Rayman has autosave as well and I've updated with that game on my system. Updates do not remove game saves. Also, because the file is a autosave file only, doesn't make it any different from a regular save file for a game. It just does it for you. It's like how Gravity Rush has a autosave file, but you can save files too. If you update your system the autosave still exists.
P.S I have Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment on my Vita and like 30+ hours in, updated and my save hasn't been harmed.

I so enjoyed the Invizimals: The Alliance demo that I'm going to buy the full game. What a shame that Sony basically killed the franchise, again, in North America. Oh well, at least it's a huge hit in Europe. Invizimals: The Resistance is gold now according to Novarama (the developer).

Yes, in Europe the marketing was good.

For example, distribution was very accurate, and, at least in Italy, it was being sold even in generalist supermarkets, in the consumer electronics section.

That is great news. I didnt really want to play the game on the PS4 and the big screen. Its just wrong for a 16 bit inspired game.

I did think of getting it for the Wii U, but if theres a Vita port then i will definitly be going for it instead.

This and Liege will be the first indie games i buy. :x

Same here. It looks awesome on the OLED I wouldn't mind if more games like it came Vita's way.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
