I'm starting to think Shahid has no idea what he's doing. He found about Type 0 coming to Vita through the PS Blog? Shouldn't he have known beforehand considering his job?

anyways I think the Vita has done what I expected and that was a few good Japanese games, hopefully it gets more but I wasn't expecting much at all. I love you all Vita cult for life :D

What was even announced for 3DS? I know Fantasy Life is getting localized, but that's all I've seen. There's a small backlog of stuff I'd like to play if I ever get a 3DS (Attack of the Friday Monsters, particularly) but I just can't see fit to give Nintendo money for digital games that I don't even own.

Given the fact that its sales are relatively healthy, the 3DS is getting piss poor support. To be honest, I still think Vita is cleaning 3DS' clock in terms of games (I know, I know... opinions and all that).

I really dislike the way SCEA always treated PS Vita and, to be quite honest, it's starting to burn me and my appreciation for the PS Vita. Such a marvelous system simply wasted but the lack of Sony interested (specially SCEA) is making me feel like an idiot for buying their handheld system. This week was a massive blow against my goodwill towards Sony and the PS Vita, sad thing is Playstation is basically the only platform that interests me because of their amazing IPs, so I don't really have much of a choice. It's either PS4 or WiiU, no way in hell I'm buying a 3DS as it feels like a massive step backwards compared to PS Vita. Guess I'll be playing Type-0 on PS4 when it hits 10 bucks or won't be buying it at all.

At this point I would just wish to see Sony officially killing PS Vita instead of doing all this BS stuff. Oreshika on PS4 would be nice.

You know, looking through the 3DS Metacritic list, my backlog of stuff I want to try isn't as large as I thought it was.  Hmm.  (Though Fantasy Life added another one to my list).

Still: 3D Land; Bravely Default; MK7; Animal Crossing; Theatrhythm; Tales of Abyss; Sims 3 Pets.  Rune Factory 4 if that ever gets announced.

Plus, I've always wanted to play Attack of the Friday Monsters too because I've always wanted to play Boku no Natsuyasumi and this looks like the closest we're going to get.

Some of the 3DS stuff I want just overlaps a little with Vita-esque stuff (i.e. Tales of the Abyss) but there's the whole life sim genre that exists on 3DS and does not on Vita.  Just one game would satisfy my need but it seems we're not getting anything.

Still, actually writing it out made me realise that maybe I don't want a 3DS as much as I thought I did.

I find myself doing the same sometimes. The grass always seems greener until you really scrutinize it. Handheld gaming has taken a beating (undeservedly, I think), and with the exception of a few notables like Monster Hunter, the 3DS has actually suffered more than the Vita. And while the Vita's yearly snubbing at E3 always kind of hurts, let's not forget that on an average non-E3 week it sometimes seems like Vita games are practically raining from the heavens (even if most of them are indies, and therefore not games).

And in the case of Type-0, at least, it sounds like it's Square-Enix more than Sony. Maybe this little fuck up will actually lead to Sony ponying up for a port on their own, a la Borderlands 2.

I own a 3ds and I haven't played it in months. It doesn't have any games releasing in the future that I'm interested in, I didn't like Bravely Default at all and I have no interest in Megami tensei, I'm a persona guy.. I can honestly say that the only game that I really liked was Zelda link between worlds and 999(but that's a DS game).

It's a shame but handheld gaming in general is dying and not just vita. I do hope by the time Nintendo launches another handheld, they fix their garbage account system and if Sony decides to bailout, the small japanese devs move towards 4ds and not mobile T_T

This'll be the first Tales game ever to have Japanese voice acting I think. Would have loved for them to realize it's something you don't have to remove with Xillia.
