I don't think they are screwing the vita userbase really...Miku games sell and Miku+ persona is a no brainer for their primary audience which is the JP market. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if it outsells the 3ds spin off

On the other hand they know they can release P5 for vita later on and earn more money

You do realize, Miku sells like that because it's Miku, not the game genre really. They screwed the PS Vita fanbase no matter which way you look at it. Yes some will like it, as with everything (I liked Duke Nukem Forever). But it's a RPG series and people expect RPG games, yes Japan likes to make dance game spin-offs, but Persona has a fanbase outside Japan too. Just watch that game fail if it makes it our Japan. The 3DS game is going to no doubt outsell it.

FFS, now when that stupid Persona dancing game comes out in the west, vita will sell -100,000 units. Thanks for nothing Atlus >:(

We all should know that P5 will be ported as a enhanced port to vita, being multi in the get go would make less sales for them.

Atlus know that their fans like to double dip a game, if given a reason, like new story elements or something :P

PS: persona 3ds was promised ages ago, I'm waiting for it since them...

"Unbelievable! Could you imagine the step? He's genius!"

Yes I think this game will do just fine. Just fine indeed.

the 3ds is game is basically EO clone. That game sells way worse than the dance titles like miku etc easily. It's basically EO reskinned. Both games have their own appeals. Persona is famous for the music and honestly I have read many comments by happy persona fans. I think this is going to surprise people by the sales it will get.

And for both this and the 3ds spin off the primary audience is the JP one. Such games don't sell much outside of Japan period. If it really bugs you so much I gurantee that P5 is going to be on the vita in a year or so after the Ps3 release. It's just smart business

That really isn't the point lol. Atlus confirmed back at the P4G release on the PSBlog that they make Persona games exclusive to max the potential. I agree with that, but really giving RPG fans 2 RPG's to look forward to on other systems and a dancing game on the one system you just built a new fanbase on is basically insulting. Cause Now for me to play more Persona RPG's I gotta get a 3DS or play on PS3, not on the system that just made me a fan of the series last year...

I understand your point of view. I'm also kinda bothered by it being on the ps3 first xD

But the 3ds one is made by the EO team, with the EO engine, with the EO gameplay... it makes sense to be 3ds only really.

Smh, really sometimes on this thread I don't agree with some things, but then times like this come up where it's just a contradiction.
Let me put it this way.
MIKU is a sensation, comparing her sales too a RPG going to the dancing series is like comparing Miley Cirus to 50 Cent in rap. Literally.
Also Persona HAS good music, it is not Famous for it's music. Persona is famous for it's blend of a life simulator mixed with good gameplay and being a RPG with a great system (story too of course). Also, you see Chibi and call it a EO clone, that's just wrong smh. You think the same can't be said about this, This can be a Neptunia PP clone, That game surely ain't no grand seller.
Positive attitude ain't bad, but right now you sound like the same kinda Fanboys I come here to avoid.

Also I'm sure Persona 5 will eventually hit the Vita, but hitting the Vita 3 or more years from now isn't something to look forward to. A fan shouldn't have to suffer like that, Also I'm not mad about P5 on PS3, I knew that was a possibility. I'm mad at the fact PS Vita is the only one that doesn't get a Persona RPG

I love rhythm games, I love Persona 4's music. Get that Dance spin off over here and I'll be buying it.

It interests me far more than a re-skin of a First Person JRPG tbh. Though if it has a Persona quality story I'll still look into that too.

Persona 5 was logically going to debut on a home console first and it wasn't going to be PS4 or XBONE. (Remember Persona 4 came out on the PS2 in 2008 (2009 in Europe) which was several years into the current generation. PS3 was actually the most likely choice, all previous Persona games have found their way onto a Sony handheld, so if the previous pattern follows, Persona 5: The Platinum or whatever on Vita certainly isn't out of the question.

I know the 3DS spinoff makes people think they're testing the waters for that, but if it's built for the PS3 up, 3DS is going to have to have some way bigger compromises than the PSP ones did to get the game running on it.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I don't care what's the reason for the 3DS game, I don't even care if the 3DS game is good. My point isn't any of those, my point is, PS Vita is the only one out of the bunch that gets no Persona RPG. Build a Fanbase on Vita just so they gotta play on something else... It's what I also hated about Kingdom Hearts. I stopped following the series for that reason.
