its better then a family sat together playing on them, its good to have exciting ads and not the drivel we have had this past 4/5 years

I think you'd be missing the entire point of advertising if you didn't try make your product look as good as possible.
It's a good advert with actual meaning behind it. I think the tagline is cool but maybe a bit forgetable. Better then anything I've seen in the past though for a long time.

I would rather that then have someone asking me "What's wrong with you?".
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
@pokemon: as others have pointed out..that's pretty much is the essence of marketing a new product
@Golden Abyss Reviews: I haven't read them but seen few of the summaries (don't wanna spoiler myself) ..and it just shows the state of game reviewers today
More of the same on a handheld = gimped down versions
Different approach = not the same thing or same level
le sigh
on another note my gf said she is gonna get me a game that I like as a gift (in addition to some other stuff)..so she asked me for a list of games and I gave her 4 vita games and 1 ps3 game (twisted metal)..dunno what I will get..excited!
and on another even random note...am I just late to the party in noticing this or does the dual shock controller look like an android crab?

Unless the other reviews that pour in prove otherwise it seems Lumines is the Vitas best launch game at the moment. That may be until Escape Plan and Gravity Daze reviews come in.
I'm also unsure as to whether I should get BB:CS on the Vita. Apparently it's a perfect 1:1 port but being unable to use my stick is a bummer, but the portability is a huge bonus.
well I had a blast with Blazblue on the psp...and I will eventually gonna get it on the psv as well
and I would recommend listening to user reviews over critic reviews for portable games..especially for games like Golden Abyss

Rayman Vita review by destructoid
9/10
"It's almost unbelievable to see how vivid and colorful Rayman Origins is on the Vita. Even if you've seen the game before, you need to see it again on Vita's OLED screen where its rich imagery seems to pop out at you, and its motion is so smooth that it looks like the most luscious animation ever created is playing between your palms. The level of artistry is so high in this game that it seems criminal to not look every single little morsel of 2D art on every single screen. I think it's safe to say that you've never seen anything like this on a portable game system. "
"It's a shame about the lack of multiplayer, but Rayman Origins is still 2D platforming at this console generation's finest. This is a huge, deep, challenging, artfully crafted masterpiece that is now portable, which opens the door for even more gamers to get lost in its goofy and delightful world. If you've somehow missed Rayman Origins in last year's crowded holiday release season, and you plan on getting a PlayStation Vita, make sure you include this in your launch day purchases. This game is too lovely to be missed. "
They also LOVE Lumines

9.5/10
"The way I see it, everyone already loves Lumines, so this review serves no one, especially when you consider that Electronic Symphony is the best one yet with its gorgeous high-resolution visuals, rocking soundtrack, new gameplay mechanics, and awesome connectivity features. No Vita should be sold without a copy of this game."

Runa216 said: Well Damn, Wednesday is gonna be awesome for me. Just got a friend to get me Wipeout, he already ordered it and all I have to do is write him what amounts to a thank you letter. awesome! But as it stands, here's what I'm getting at Launch for Vita: Wi-Fi Edition Vita 32 Gig Memory card (might as well start big) a Carrying Case Little Deviants (Came with the package) ModNation Racers: Road Trip Rayman: Origins Super Stardust Delta Wipeout 2048 and I'm considering getting: Uncharted: Golden Abyss (I WILL Get it, it's just a matter of when) Escape Plan Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Meanwhile, I only own 6 3DS games, 3 of which I don't really care about: Pilotwings Resort (Bleh, boring, very light on content) Brunswick Pro Bowling (generic, boring, repetitive) Nano Assault (I liked it, gave it a 7, but really light on content, I doubt I'll ever play it again.) Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (Still don't care for this compared to ANY other zelda game) Mario Kart 7 (spent a lot of time on this, loved the track design) Mario 3D Land (it seemed decent, but something was amiss, it just didn't click for me) Still love the 3DS, loads of potential and three games in particular I'm eagerly awaiting (Smash Brothers 3D, Paper Mario 3D and Kingdom Hearts 3D), and I am totally open to suggestions, but it's kinda bleh compared to the euphoric dreams I have of enjoying the Vita and its glory. |
Can you please stop with the bragging?
so many reviews are coming in!
Golden Abyss CVG
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/335616/uncharted-vita-review-drakes-triumphant-outing-is-vitas-best-launch-game/
"There's a wider point here about whether a handheld is the right format for an action blockbuster, as inevitably Golden Abyss can't romp into unbroken technical ground like the PS3 games habitually do and has to settle for a lesser accolade instead: "The best one you can play on the bus", or "Not markedly inferior to the others." But that's not something Sony Bend or its game have to worry about. The fact they've come up with a great Uncharted title while also catering to the demands of a new system, and given us a fat new puzzle book to play with, means that Golden Abyss goes down as a very impressive achievement."
