Forums - Gaming Discussion - FFXIII-2 NEW INFO From Previews! (multiple story arcs, hidden side quests, larger dungeons...)

Um you don't need more than 2 ravagers and a commando. If things are really tough then a ravager, commando and healer. You can get through 90% of fights this way. Come across a boss? Then 2 synergists and a sabatour or inverse that. Then 2 ravagers and a commando and 3 healers if you have to heal.

Dude , how come you found FFXIII hard? it had auto battle, you just had to stagger you enemy and thats it. If you have a cat, try putting glitter in the buttons and approach the cat to the controller, mine won a couple of figths , then put a rubber band pull the left sitck up and thats it, at least until you get to the "open world part". I was thinking of trying it out with a chinken in fact but i couldnt find any during the time i had access to the game.

Says the person with FFXIII "hate reviews" in his signature.

Lying won't make the game worse my friend.

I have played Demon Soul's and I found FFXIII harder, I would easily go as far as saying it's the hardest game I have played this gen.

Sorry , im very old school, demons soul is not hard, its dificulty is exactly like i remember games back in the NES days , pretty normal to me. Also before XIII i had finished and maxed out my characters in all previous final fantasies that are not online. FFXIII was a walk in the park, i didnt need any strategy, fighting was as hard as exploring.  I my revieus are not hate revieus they are evidence for those blind fanatics that dont recognice that if we accept game like FFXIII the series is doomed.

Did you even finish the game?

OT:  Wow! That's sick. Multiple endings, Towns, Dialogues on NPC, Monsters become your allies, Lots' of minigames, the story is darke and mysterious, branching paths LOL!! and Cool looking guy. FF XIII-2 is shaping up to be a real FF than the original. I am hoping for a worldwide release this year. I don't want to wait for months!!!

Ah, :) the awesomenest of FFXIII , i played until the last chapter, more than 40 + hours with the grinding, and yet i dont know anything about the awesomenest of the game because i didnt finish , YAY, that means somehow the game turns 180 degrees in the last 3 hours and compensate the previous 40 hours of pure crap, amazing.

*slowly clap hand

Bravo!, Bravo!

QFT, i dont know why some are saying this game was hard, maybe they were trying to actualy apply some strategy to it without the need to and didnt find the results logical.

edit: if he does die in the first one, can someone post a link to the vid?

I could stay in that 1 configuration forever but I don't like my fights lasting 1 hour, so no I would still change paradigms, get enemies weakened, my characters buffed then stagger them, heal if needed and finish them......I can get through most FF's through bashing attack attack attack and an occasional heal on most normal enemies, except boss battles where a little more strategy is needed. (here FF10, 13 are pretty much the exception since in X you need to change characters mid way and in 13 in the interest of getting 5 stars and a quick battle I actually used different paradigms to my advantage even against many normal enemies instead of bashing X due to staying in 1 paradigm).

Quite frankly FF games are very easy in general and FF13 was one of the harder ones but still easy ultimately. And in a poll done in Japan FF13 was ranked the hardest FF ever, this actually lead tot he developers adding an EASY mode in the Xbox 360 version, make of that what you will.

Wow! I am just asking, defensive much?! >_>  BTW I am not asking because on how you think of FFXIII. You should know better that there's a lot of enemies that can't  be defeated by just pressing auto battle especially the Final boss and I only have a problem with that.

So is a March 2012 release confirmed for NA? That means we wont see VSXIII until 2013 the earliest

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Yeah, that's what the two Ravager setup is for, you can tripple it up if you're leveled up enough.  But I was just pointing out how easy and monotonous the game is.  Like the only hardest part are the bosses and after game enemies, but even then your strategy barely changes to add Synergists and Sabatours.  Then you're switching back to Ravagers for the stagger and Commandos for the kill.  I personally find it wastes more time to switch out paradigms unless the enemy has high HP.
