Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Who Will Be Pre-Ordering WiiU ?

Very simple, who has made up their mind and will be pre-ordering WiiU at first chance ?

I'm probably going to wait for some games to release first, so no. But I'm certain that I'll eventually get it.

Nah wont be a launh get.

When Super Smash Bros Wii U launches and gets bundled, that's when I get it. Unless of course different games sway me to get the Wii U before SSB, I shall get it earlier. But for now, it's a purchase when the next SSB comes out

Did they announce the price? For me it depends on price. I am really interested in the new controller though.

I'm intrigued but not enough to get it yet. Mainly due to not really knowing much about it. I mean the controller is nifty in some of its features, but I need to know some more games and see them playing. So far all we have seen is prototypes to demo the controller and third party game ports running off engines not built specifically for the system. So I await to see some Wii U games that do this, and if the Zelda HD tech demonstration is anything to go off, I doubt I'll hold off (if not getting it at launch) for very long to get this thing.

I will, day 1 for sure... I am just waiting for the release date now...

I didn't get a Wii for a couple years so I'll probably wait for the Wii U too.

Not at launch No, especially if its launch is as lacklustre as the 3DS which it might be unless they rush out another Zelda or Mario. But there is still time to persuade me, the show left me with 2 many questions, no machine spec, no real spec on the pad ( i.e. is it multitouch and capacitive ).

Also getting parity on 3rd party wont be enough, they need to have the online features to go with it, 3rd party exclusive andor exclusive content, its not like the old days when switching console was easy, now people have alot invested in the online infrastructure, with the downloadable games they've bought, the friends list they've built up and the achievementstrophies they've collected.

So for me it will still most likely be bought just for Nintendos first party offering, unless they can prove there new control system actually makes those multiplat games significantly better.

Depends on their launch strategy. If it's 3DS all over again (high price, no games) then I'm going to wait. If there's at least one first party game that interests me, I'm getting it first day.

I'm buying two to do video conferences.
