Forums - Gaming Discussion - E3: Nintendo WINS!

The WiiU was interesting but I hated the games announced at the show... Mario Kart 13, Super mario 93, Mario Spin-off mansion 2. Kid Icarus was the only relatively interesting thing to me when it comes to new stuff and the game just didn't look that fun for me.

I don't know, i guess they won...

I agree, Sony's best games were games we already knew about and seen before imo. Nintendo actually showed stuff that was interesting that we didn't know about. I think it's kinda ridiculous how much hate Nintendo is getting for this conference, it was the best of e3 imo. The WiiU has so much potential and so much gameplay possibilities it's just exciting. Sure they could of mentioned more Wii, but they did show Wii games at the end on screen for what it's worth. Overall I thought it was a great conference from Nintendo, great looking hardware with many possibilities.

So in conclusion Nintendo>Sony>Microsoft IMO

most of the arguments that Nintendo did bad are just coming from people using crappy, childish arguments. Guess what? They didn't NEED to announce or show any games for the WiiU, that wasn't the point. The controller alone was enough of an announcement to eclipse anything else shown at E3. But I don't expect "gamers" to understand that.

WFT is Wii U - Is that the console or Controller. I still can't see how people are going to buy the WiiU as cool as it is - it seems expensive.

  Unleash The Beast!

End of 2011 Sales: Wii = 90mil, 360 = 61mil, PS3= 60mil

What this E3 showed is that E3 is losing relevance. Back in 2004 it would be a huge event, 40 new games would be announced, 'good' celebrities and bands would pop up, better presentations and it was just the ultimate marketing tool. These days it's not. Sony have clearly shown that they prefer Gamescom and TGS over E3 and that they also prefer announcing games through out the year, instead of just bundling them all up for one big event. Microsoft and Nintendo still rely on E3 a little too much, but you can start to see them drifting away from that format. It also doesn't help that all the major releases in the last few years have been announced at the Spike Game Awards.

E3 isn't a spectacle any more, it's just another marketing platform amongst a whole lot of other marketing platforms.

As for who won this E3? I don't know what to think of the new Wii, it look's horribly designed, but the concept looks interesting and I like the idea of a having a nice looking Zelda and a Luigi's Mansion 2. Microsoft shat all over themselves, such a horrible conference, it was all well presented, but what they presented was just horrible. Sony was just boring, they need to hire Microsoft's event managers.

Choosing who won is like picking which piece of fire will burn your eyebrows faster, they all did badly and all for different reasons. If I had to choose, then it'd be not Microsoft.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

the nintendo conference was better than the microsoft one but i didn't saw the sony conference so i really can't say who was better.

Microsoft committed a seppuku through the longass gameplay of that shitty ol' games called Disney and Sesame street. Although I liked a few announcements such as the Halo CE, Ryse, some more GoW3 gameplay and Halo 4, in my eyes in terms of games MS had it nailed for me, with the 3rd party support it's an all around library.

Me and a friend watched the Nintendo conference, to be frank it wasn't that spectacular either, in terms of content Nintendo probably "won" but that's something to be proud of I guess, the least worst of them all.

First E3 I actually paid attention to, and it sucked some major balls.

PS, Minecraft announcement was the highlight for me, I hope it's not exclusive to Kinect, because quite frankly who the fuck would like to mine their way to bedrock using a fist.
