Copypasta from another thread.

I'm so confused . . . all the features and games he announced for Wii U are available on current generation PS360. As an owner of all 3 current consoles already, what reason do I have to buy this new console? >_>

E3's conferences were the worst I've ever seen for everyone except Nintendo. Nothing is worse then that 2008 conference. It was damn close.

Really? I kinda felt like Sony won.  I mean, aside from the obvious unveiling of a console everyone knew was coming, did Nintendo wow you?  I mean, the tablet controller is....odd, but Sony really got me excited about the Vita and ended on a great note with the price.

Btw, any word on Skyward sword release date?

Once they start showing some first party software and reveal the specs, everybody will come around. I don't see why they'd bother announcing it and building hype only to have nothing really ready by E3, though.

Also, nintendo lost me at the wii, the only reason I bought one was for the virtual console, so I would always have a nes/snes...so on.

I truly hope that this is a system launch bridge to a true system.

They also didn't talk about their online network almost at all. Seriously bummed with all three.

FFXII-2 looked boring
Fable 4 - on rails wizard fps, boring
Skyward Sword, didn't see much.
Uncharted/Resistance, same old, same old.

Tomb Raider, BF3, Darksiders 2, and Skyrim were really the only games I thought were exciting.

I think it is a wait and see for me, but I do think it wasn't ready.

I wonder if they actually have a solid idea of what to do with this new controller? What the killer app, the Wii Sports will be?

I guess it'll be a while before we find out, but I really hope they aren't just winging it, lol. Sure felt like it with all this prototype stuff...

edit: Then again, I guess they'd save it for next year if they did have a great idea. Maybe this was destined to disappoint no matter what, guess we shouldn't bother with hype until they're ready to unveil actual games.

I feel like being the best of the worst doesn't constitute a win this year. To me, I'm going to have far more fun learning details about multiplats then anything exclusive. Bioshock Infinite won this E3.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

To be honest for a minute I thought the new wii u remote was the new console, just an expansion type thing for the wii because the picture of the new console looks so similar to the wii now, they did an absolute horrible job giving details for a console that is supposed to drop in about a year. Why didn't they have more first party content such as that sweet ass zelda cgi trailer? Was that a new zelda? I dont even know what to think, I am interested but they definitely dropped the ball. Hopefully there are more explanations throughout the week otherwise this is going to be one of the most annoying e3's I can remember.

Holy crap. That's all I can think when I saw the G4 blog. I don't like the controller at all, and I just hope they don't cut off the original Wii's Netflix channel. That's my main reason for keeping it.

So who wants to watch Charles in Charge?

i can see how multiplats are not a big deal seeing as i can already buy them on all systems

BUT the way i look at it is this. Nintendo does or almost wins e3 every year on what? basically first party alone, they have never had the 3rd parties to carry tehm like ps3 and 360 conferences have.

so now they have their first party AND 3rd party. Yes the 3rd party is boring now that we have had 2 conferences already before showing them.

But before when comparing say sony and nintendo is was sony first party and the ps3/360 multiplasts VERSUS nintendo first party. Now its solely sony first party vs nintendo first party, since it now ALSO has those multiplats
