Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony E3 2011 full analysis (And updates as we go along)

ummmm. As a PS3 owner, that was underwhelming. It does make me want a Vita - maybe.

But if you were to stack up PS3 show versus 360 show, it's a draw, no? Just a decision whether you're more geeked for more Drake or more Halo.

It's sequel time in this gen, it seems. Devs/Pubs cashing in on already having learned the systems and taking some chances early in the cycle, making some bank before the new hotness gets generated in 2 years.

New major first/second party IP ain't coming until next gen, it seems.

But DAMMIT I want to see more things on stuff that is already announced, the big one for me is...

WHERE THE HELL IS AGENT?!

They've confirmed its still in developement, okay, awesome, where is it. I was almost positive it would be at the Sony show, now I feel like its a lost dog and I should be putting posters up or something. I mean jeeze, its the next big IP from Rockstar North of all people, you think we would have seen something on it.

They were lacking in the PS3 department but the Vita stuff was good. $250 might be too good to be true, I need to see the specs of the VIta. Either Sony is losing money on the Vita or it's not as powerful as I think because Street Fighter X Tekken looked a bit choppy especially when Ken came running out.

Decent conference 7/10 much better than Microsoft's.

Ono > than E3... that is all.

The lack of new exclusive AAA title was the major thing the sony conference lacked. I would've liked to see some Agent or Last Guardian footage..

Nice vita pricepoint... The conference did leave me wondering why they announced starhawk right before e3... As well as the "create content" part of infamous. Infact, they probably should have with-held most of the recent announcements and gotten kojima to announce the metal gear solid hd thing at their conference.

Overall it was pretty good though.. I was hoping for the gladiator game to be.. not on rails and a more mature adventure game and i missed some sort of huge announcement. But overall it was pretty good :P

Check out my game about moles ^

Actually this, right here.

Looking at it, something like Starhawk would of been a major reveal at the conference and could of replaced some of the lackluster uninspiring things like Infamous 2 that really didn't need to be shown or talked about to the extent it was. Seems like all Sony's real "Bang" happened in the times before the conference itself.

and no Kevin Butler :(

I got sort of a mixed reaction for Sony's Conference.

The PS3 related games, announcements, trailers, and content were all underwhelming. I mean Uncharted 3 looks phenomenal, Resistance 3 looks leaps and bounds better then Resistance 2, and the Sly IV announcement was good. But the rest ... well they didn't impress me. When Uncharted 3, a Game of The Year contender, was shown first I thought Sony meant buisness. They didn't have as big a hitter after Uncharted 3. Things like NBA 2K12 ( Lol I guess Kobe didn't go fishing ) and EA offering exclusive content weren't needed. A big name game such as God of War IV was needed, AA and AAA Move games was needed, and less content type annoucements. The PS Vita on the otherhand saved the conference for me. The price is perfect, good amount of first / third party games, and a lot of PS3 / PSN intergration.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.
