What's quite interesting is that the last two composers strongly opposed each other, Milhaud being part of a french <>, by the name of les six. Apart from complaining about Wagner, the group equally met occasionaly to compose together, the most notable of the works being the following:

Liszts later works were considered avant-garde to the polytonal movement.

 

8.5/10 All parts were a joy to listen. They reminded me of a song I'm still looking for.

I listened to the piece, but stopped near the end, as the chords were getting too repetitve for my taste. Equally, I would prefer a bit more melody...

I agree with you, the chorus is a letdown and the verse is okay. But I like the song for it's intro and alternative verse (that comes after the second verse). It's an unstable song.

As for palou's link; I give it a 5/10. It was focusing too much on imitating situations/emotions with a piano that it forgot to be melodic.
