This is probably going to be one of the most useless threads ever, but here goes anyway.

It's called the X-box, yet the logo shows a Sphere with a big "X" on it >_> does anyone else think they should have put it on a cube instead <_<? A sphere doesn't really strike me as a box x.x

No, you see, it's pronounced "ex-bawks," meaning they're not chicken. They don't go bawk. Only chickens go bawk.

The statement is that Nintendo and Sony go "bawk," and thus, are chickens. I'm not sure what genius came up with that idea, but it sounds like something Microsoft would do.

Right. It's a 360 degree sphere, with an X, that comes in a Box. (although it is kind of a curvy box, it's still a box)

But I thought 360 degree's was more partaining to a simple circle, not a sphere. A sphere has way more volumetric equations factored into it :/

The 360 in the XBOX 360 stands for 360 degrees. That is why when you turn on your XBOX 360 the lights go a round before filing the circle in front. XBOX is the brand. If Microsoft learned anything from Sony is to create brand loyalty. Hence, MS keeps the XBOX name on their console just like Sony PS1, PS2, PS3.

why isnt the saturn the same shape as saturn?

The logos for the Sat were, highway star.

The reason they named it the "360" rather than anything else, used a cube, ect, was the fact they wanted to differentiate the Xbox 2 from the Playstation 3. Getting into a comparison with the general consumer would make them assume that PS3>Xbox 2, since the PS was one model higher.

Thus they created the 360, and logo, and such.
