My son playes Guild Wars 2 and from what I have seen the graphics and gameplay are excellent. One very import thing about Guild Wars is that there is no subscription and even Guild Wars 1 is still supported and free to play. Of course you do have to buy the game.
There are a few reasons why I don't play Guild Wars, firstly I have never been that keen on on-line only games, secondly my PC runs a Linux based operating system although it is not that big a deal to run a Microsoft OS under a virtal machine or even run a compatibility program like Wine, thirdly I actually prefer console gaming to PC gaming and can switch to my PS4 or even my backwards compatible PS3 in a few seconds.
