I don't really play MMOs these days, but I used to play Guild Wars. But after putting more than 2500 hours, I got bored.

Guild Wars 2 looks like it will be the most awesome game to hit the MMO genre in a long, long time though! Visit the official thread if you're interested.

Meh, MMOs are great in all, except for that damn subsciption fee the vast majority if them have, but I'm actually planning to buy starcraft 2 (no sub fee)

As far as I'm concerned, MMOs have been stuck in a rut for a long time. Ever since WoW took off, almost everyone seems to have been using the WoW-model as the base for their own games, so there aren't a lot of MMOs out there that are really different and good.

Guild Wars 2 looks like it's going to change all that (and without a subscription fee too!) for a couple of reasons:

1) Quests are gone and instead we have dynamic events. These are quests that play out all around the map, whether any player interferes or not. So instead of getting a quest that says "Our village is under attack, go kill 10 centaurs to save us!", you bump into the village and it is actually under attack. If you succeed in defending the village, you can push the centaurs back and attack their base instead. It's a really awesome system, and let's players change the world constantly. When you visit a village once, it can be peaceful and quiet, and another time, it might be in the midst of being rebuilt after bandits burned it down.

2) There is a huge social focus in the game. You don't have to team up with anyone in order to help, you just play together, and you will both be fully rewarded for your kills. So no more loot and kill stealing. Every time you meat a player, they can help you without needing to go through any cumbersome process of teaming up in the midst of battle.

3) Combat is very different from normal MMOs. You don't have dedicated healers and every class is versatile enough to be able to take any role that is required by the team. So no more standing around shouting "LF Healer!" or playing as a class you don't really want to play, but your team needs, so you do it anyway.

It's all just awesome!

Trophies are the main draw for you?

Anyway, if you have even the slightest of interest in what Guild Wars 2 will do for MMOs, I recommend reading this.

The stuff I wrote are just the very basics of what looks to be one amazing game. ^_^

Whoa don't get me wrong about trophies being awesome, that's just one reason as to why I enjoy console gaming, another reason would be that a gaming pc is expensive or that I enjoy my ps3's XMB and simply the feel of it, not sure if you know what I mean of the feel of it lol.

Playing WoW at the moment, and have been for a fair while.

Don't worry, I get it. I'm a console gamer myself. I'm not buying a gaming PC until Guild Wars 2 is coming out.
