Dude where's the spoiler alert?!??! :-O

Some of the details I saw were pretty interesting though

I liked the part about how it's similar to the original Zelda!

OMG Spoilers!!

Nah don’t worry we all know Ganondarf will be there and if he is young then that means this might be the first Zelda in the timeline and Link will face foes that came before Ganondarf.

And Zelda looking Egyptian is not that big of a deal :)

Part of me does not want to spoil the game but the other part wants too know as much as possible :S

I will add a “spoilers if true” to the OP though :)

rofl I just read your reply, more spoilers!

OK from now on no more SS info for me!! Not even rumors!

*fingers in ears* lalalalala I can't hear you *runs away*

SOUNDS EPIC!! I hope this is all true. From the recent trailers, the game did have a sort of 'ancient' look to it, with the Buddhist statues and such, so that goes together quite well with these rumors. Also the young Ganondorf thing makes sense in this context. Remember that the person who made Minish Cap had a big role in this game.

However, one thing about these rumors has me screaming FAKE:

"- Ten minute live-action prologue that'll be posted on the net a couple of months before release."

This doesn't sound like something Nintendo would do at all. Live action?? Ten minutes??
what is this, Zelda: Other Z??

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Everything sounds awesome except the prologue. That's too long for pre-action in a game, and the acting in these things (Wing Commander 3, 4, Prophecy not withstanding) are always terrible. Also, Link shouldn't talk. Everything else I hope is true, especially the two overworlds idea (with Hyrule in ruins).

On the Ganandorf as a child, I actually like the idea. I could really dig the evil magician and then using Ganandorf as a the real villian, similar to that trope, revealing him to be the one who actually turned Hyrule into the hell world.

Sounds epic, very excited for the game itself and the E3 conference.

If if does have orchastrated music, does that basically confirm that it will come on a dual layer DVD?  Not that it matters, I was just wondering.

This game needs a orchestrated music like Galaxy it will be spectacular, the rumours sounds plausible too, nothing too extreme. November release sounds likely.

Skyward Sword need an impressive soundtrack, not just reversing Zelda's lubally to make a horrible tune.

Yeah, they need to ram up the soundtrack. Sony needs it to use for NGP launch, right?

Spoilers if true…

- There will be a demo at E3 with three different aspects of the game explored: Flying combat, overworld sky exploration, desert dungeon.

- Zelda has a new design, similar to an Egyptian princess with brown hair. She's still recognizable however.

- Full orchestrated soundtrack by the person responsible for Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack.

- Two overworlds: Skyloft and Hyrule. Contrast is similar to Heaven and Hell.

- Ten minute live-action prologue that'll be posted on the net a couple of months before release.

- After you complete the game, the game goes into a storyless, neverending epilogue. Every dungeon in the game gets another dungeon inside of it utilizing everything you've obtained in the game with new bosses. New areas on the overworld are unlocked in places you wouldn't expect. Similar to the original Zelda.

- Game will feature horse riding and boat riding. Not as expansive as seen in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, however, but a boat will be required to complete some dungeons.

- Coming November 1st, 2011.

Everything above sound amazing, flying combat great, egyptian princess great, neverending epilogue **faints twice** Really amazing!!! Hope most of that is true...

Also, 'the person(s) who scored Mario Galaxy' Mahito Yokota/Ryu Nagamatsu will almost certainly not be involved, as they are likely to be working on Super Mario 3DS; Toru Minegishi has dibs on Zelda

I thought Mahito Yokota was confirmed to be working on the game? In the most recent Iwata Asks.

That's exiting. I had forgotten that Yokota worked on the trailer theme for Twilight Princess, so his involvement in this production is not unprecedented. I just expected him to remain with EAD Tokyo.

As for game music in general; the soundtrack is practicaly the last thing that is produced during development. I'd say that the last 6 months are when the bulk of the musical content is composed, and in the recent Iwata Asks, Yokota confirms this by remarking that it was less than a year since they settled for an orchestral score and he became involved. I still expect Toru Minegishi to work on the soundtrack, but its interesting to have somone of Yokota's stature on board as well.

Whilst I hope this is true, some of the rumours just seem too unbelieveable to me
