Forums - Gaming Discussion - Malstrom challenges forum posters to prove him wrong.

As a reaction to this post on NeoGAF. Malstrom has challenged forum posters to show him the error of his ways:

"...

I want to issue a challenge to these ‘brilliant’ hardcore gaming forum posters. I want you to tell me why I am wrong about Zelda. Send the email at…

seanmalstrom@yahoo.com

Instead of just saying ‘Sean Malstrom doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about’, why don’t you tell me why I don’t know what I’m talking about. Anyone can say anything on a message forum. I want to confront you guys. Just be careful, remember what happened to the Sakamoto worshippers when Metroid: Other M came out

...." - Still waiting for the ‘hardcore’ to tell me why I’m wrong

I've read similar claims from vgchartz forum posters and I thought they' might like to accept such a challenge.

I've already sent him an e-mail about three hours ago. That will teach him... I hope.

Will you be posting your e-mail in here?

if your ego is so fragile that you have to goad forum posters then you obviously aren't deserving of having such a challenge validated.

What did he say about zelda?

Time for hype

I can't wait to see if he will post any replies in his blog.

Awww, is Malstrom crying again?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I am sure he will. A few months back he posted my e-mail when I set the record straight on Super Mario Galaxy 2, so I don't see why he would first bait and then flee in this case.

Which post of his?

The points he argues are ultimately sound, but they are too strictly utilitarian. While gaming is a business, there is room for diversity in a first-party's portfolio that may not (or in cases like Sin and Punishment or Ico and its sequels, definitely will not) promote console sales, so long as these games are profitable in and of themselves and do not entirely take the picture away from console pushing titles.

In a world of pure numbers, there isn't a way to disprove Malstrom's arguments, mostly because proof against them would require a first-party to focus so entirely on console-pushing titles that we could be able to analyze the weakness of his ideology if it came to pass, but that won't happen, so he'll continue to take his refuge in his own world of things that cannot be disproven, similar to any man of religion who has lost an argument to an atheist

I was mainly correcting a previous e-mail he got about Super Mario Galaxy 2, but you know how he uses stuff he likes to hear to start one of his rants. He wrote a really long response to my e-mail, but it actually isn't much of a response to what I wrote (you can see for yourself).

Well, at the very least it shows that he is willing to put something up that doesn't totally play into his hands.

Take valid complaints and ignore them completely. It's like he didn't even read what you wrote, and use it to talk about bloat
