I dunno about you, but here in the UK there's a price cut EVERY DAMN AD BREAK, advertising a different game. I've seen Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Wii Sports, Just Dance, Galaxy, Brawl, Kirby, Monster Hunter, Nintendo Selects titles...and many others

And, of course, the price just keeps on tumbling. 100k in EMEAA seems optimistic, I expect to see growth, if any, for the current week. That's when the ads started.

I see maybe 150k tis week WW, and the same next. A JP price cut and bundled game would put it above 3DS over there I reckon.

Without SW, it ain't getting any higher.

Wasn't far shy in the end, though.

So it would seem! I can't believe that it sold over 200k this week

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Around the Network

They should have had the price cut months ago since the debut of Cafe at E3 will likely lessen its impact.

I don't think it matters that much.  If anything the price cut will help out holiday sales.  Increased sales right now will help but nothing can match holiday season sales.   Even if the next system comes out mid next year I suspect Wii will have a decent holiday showing this year.

Well 221k ww it is a great week of sales.

I hope it will keep up for 6 weeks more.

To get steady around 110k. and boost up again during the holiday season thanks to the release of a couples of last great games (Zelda first line)

I wonder when they'll cut the price in Japan. It still costs 20000 Yen and that WITHOUT a pack-in game. :/ (Not that it would affect me, I already have one...)

The lack of a price cut in Japan does seem strange given how much it is struggling there at the moment.  The software on the horizon in that region doesn't seem likely to alter the situation, either.

I predict a price drop in Japan by the end of the month. Cafe will probably release in Japan first, so there is less of a wait, so they don't really want to buy a Wii.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
