God I hope it's not real. Whoever says that 512 MB of storage is enough memory to satisfy the needs of those who buy downloadable games and content needs to have their head examined.

Dude, memory = RAM ---------> 512MB of RAM

The amount of storage listed is 250GB/320GB HDD

A quad core processor seems far more likely then a 3 core one that was talked about before - it's now the standard that PC games are written for. Love the 1GB video memory, much better then the Ps3 (512Mb shared with main) or Xbox have.  I think 1 Gb instead of 500MB of Main memory would  be wiser.

It'll be interesting if they go for a large harddrive instead of solid state...but I doubt it, which makes me think this is fake.

Just one correction.  PS3 has 256mb video memory and 256mb RAM, not share. 360 has 512mb shared system memory.

So this new Nintendo system has basically twice the RAM available to the system than the 360 and PS3 and then an extra 1GB of video memory which I am guessing is to help with the 4-screen output to the controller screens.

It has a 4 core Power6 CPU at 3.5GHz which is faster and one more core than the 360 has.  This system is easily quite a bit more powerful than both the 360 and PS3 (if the specs are to be believed) and will actually have quite a low manufacturing cost (if the controllers themselves don't cost $100 each).  But for the next PS or Xbox, I have a feeling they will be nearly twice as powerful as these leaked specs and cost roughly the same to produce by releasing a year or 2 later.

What is the most funny  in the Cafe is that it will be probably  the same price or even cheaper to produce than a PS3

CPU: /- same price.

GPU: A little more expensive for Nintendo.

Disk drive and HDD: If Nintendo uses DVD and no HDD, the the costs will drop significantly against PS3.

Memory: Must be the double of the PS3 Memory price.

Controller: If Cafe is more expensive than the PS3, than it's because of the controller....

Conclusion->  If Cafe don't have HDD, I can see the production cost only a little higher than the PS3. But the question is what price Nintendo will request from their consumers...$399? $349?

examinded phahaaha what a funny word :P

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

So what you guys are saying is that in computer terms storage does not equal memory, I did not know that! :P

actually the PS3 uses very expensive XDR memory and GDDR3 VRAM, GDDR5 today is cheaper than both so even with more memory it could end up being cheaper...

Storage is the common term used for long term storage options such as hard drives, solid state drives, flash devices, etc...

Memory is the common term used for short term storage options such as RAM.

You know, in case you or others here didn't know.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

This system would probably cost nintendo about $250 to make (including 1 controller).

So I would expect a $300 or $350 retail price.

Nothing like putting a watermark on an image "for internal use only" to get people to circulate and discuss the image on forums like this.  I suggest all company put that on any material they want to have be seen and spread around the Interwebnets.

I think you mean it's what forum dwellers put on their fake spec sheets to make people think it's leaked...
