Vita is the second letter of the greek alphabet. Alpha, Vita, Gamma...  PS Vita = PSP 2

it's all about not reading it properly and THAT'S exactly what sony wants

for example we have seen people mistakenly read as Vista

Apart from that stupid annoying radiation thingy that can't penetrate something (tin foil I think) that lost me marks in my physics exam! (fffffffffuuuuuuuuu physics!)

Well they can't call it "PS Beta" it sound as unfinished so they used the pronunciation (Vita) as the name.
