yep that's what I think as well, at least concerning the major western markets. With some good marketing they can sell a new name without much of a problem Imho

lol, if only sony had on of those.

Sony has quite a boss of a marketing department. They just don't advertise very well anymore. I mean they used to be the best in the world in my opinion with advertising (the Bravia Bouncy Balls etc).

And their marketing budget would be smaller than that of MS/Nintendo at the minute. PlayStation is likely more advertising inelastic.

PSP2 doesn't really roll off the tongue, I am sure they can come up with something that does and gets the same idea (and perhaps better branding too) across. I don't think NGP fits that either.

Really, even if they name it something else, I think PSP2 is the most appropriate name because it really is a next-gen PSP, not a new start with a new direction. In fact, they don't even have to change the name because it is still a 'playstation portable'! (that was a joke, by the way). We all know they can't call it NGP because 'next' will become 'current' in a short time.
