I don't care what they call the games, but I'm not going to be happy with the series until they go back to a 2D presentation.

Pretty much this for me, also. I want to see 2D Zelda return to consoles. With the current technology, Hyrule could be a HUGE place! Hell, I'd be happy with Zelda 2's world, expanded ala Zelda 1 with that one area south of Death Mountain.

LOL, really??? your first mistake was trying to make sense of the timeline, there is little sense to be made, im 99% sure that the guys at Ninty are making this up as they go along and your not going to see an adult Link, just kill that dream

Well done.

this is a joke thread...right?

A 2D version would be pretty sweet, but i don`t see that happening anytime soon. A "Paper Zelda" like that "leaked" list mentioned would be really interesting to see!

I don't care about the history or the timeline, but lets take a look at some Skyward Sword features:

  • 1:1 sword fighting;
  • Very cool puzzles;
  • Creative items (thanks to the motion plus);
  • An incredible art style far better than most of the generic HD black/brown/grey games.
So I'm pre-ordering it as soon as Nintendo anouces the release date.

I agree with what the wise man with the awesome avy said! :D - - - SS has some awesome stuff going for it

I don't care about how it fits in the timeline, just that the game has a rich, deep stroyline. It's part of the reason why I love TP so much! We haven't gotten many trailers showing that side of the game yet! I predict some epicness ahead! :p

I also believe that Nintendo themselves don't think too hard about a coherent timeline.

Why should they? Every game can be played without knowing the others. There's no connection.

That's not entirely true ... My brother got a bit confused at some of the cutscenes in TP, especially the parts showing Ganondorf with a triforce (why he had it), that stuff was mostly shown in OoT

Though generally, there isn't too much of a connection between Zelda games

After playing Twilight Princess and Zelda games on DS I am not going to buy another Zelda game untill they make it good again.

I got tired of puzzles, puzzles and more puzzles. And those latest games, while not bad, were not what I was expecting. If you compared the to Zelda I, II and Link to the past, they are not as active as the classics.

I have many doubts about skyward sword and I see no reason to buy Ocarina of time on 3DS.
