I refuse to play another Zelda game untill they release The legend of Zelda III. The last true sequel to the series was made in 1988. That's 23 years ago!

I mean the first game was relased in 1986 in japan and 1987 in America and it is still held today as one of the best games in history. The sequel was made a year later.

The legend of Zelda II: the adventure of Link was the last real sequel to the series and it was released in 1988. I can admit that there are not as many fans of that game as the first but it still had some real game changers in there.  If you think about it Zelda II focused on combat more then the first one which goes hand in hand with Link growing up. In Zelda I he was new to the whole hero thing but in Zelda II he's beginging to get the hang of it and is maturing into more of a man. Thus older Link means more combat focused game.I couldn't wait to see how Link would mature in Zelda III.

I waited four years and you know what Nintendo gave us The legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.  A freaking side story about some kid thousands of year in the future. I wanted to see Link mature into a man. I gave it a shot and I admit it's a good game so I let it slide and patiently waited for the real Zelda III.

Two years later  in 1993 they make LOZ: Link's Awakening. Another side story about Link having a dream about waking a giant fish in an egg. Talk about bizarre side storys. I just let that one go because it was fun and just a pocket Zelda for my gb. I knew for sure the next release for the newly announced N64 would be the home the real sequel.

Five years later here comes another side-story The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Wow just wow. This is 10 years that's right 10 YEARS after Zelda II. True it is the best game in the series and quite frankly of all time but I'm tired of playing as Links desendents or ancestors in the case of this game.

Then two years later instead of making a the true Zelda III they make Majora's Mask. A sequel to a side story instead of the true sequel.

After that WindWaker for the Gc and then Twilight princess for wii and now this new one Skyward Sword is suppose to be about another ancestor of Link and the creation of the Master Sword.

Well enough is enough! 23 years is too long of a wait. Untill the day they make The legend of Zelda III I refuse to play another Zelda game. Who cares if the gameplay or graphcs are progressively getting better and better I want the true sequel. Now, who's with me!

You do know that The Adventures of Link is the ending right Ganon is dead. Unless you want to bring him back to life or have Link become King. What would be so good about that.

If I'm not mistaken every zelda game is just a story, a portraying of the legend that is zelda, every game is different with the exceptions of them having sequels to continue each games own representation of the legend.

I don't care what they call the games, but I'm not going to be happy with the series until they go back to a 2D presentation.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

"side-story Zelda" - rofl never heard that one before

I thought LttP was, well, in the Past. My general understanding of the child timeline was OoT -> MM -> TP -> LttP -> Oracles -> FSA -> Zelda -> Zelda II -> Awakening

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Zelda is still Zelda regardless if it's a true sequel or not, are you saying you would have prefered a Zelda III over Ocarina of TIme?
