Forums - General Discussion - Is anybody at FIFA not corrupt?

This is getting ridiculous.

The president of FIFA, Blatter, has just been put under investigation.

Before this both the other presidential contender and the vice president were under investigation

And before that two other executive members were accused of taking bribes

Nevermind the people who were suspended from the executive before the world cup vote for taking bribes in that.

this is not good, I didn't pay all that money to pressure umpires to rig games to bet huge sums on reap rewards only to have them get caught!!

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Any person in a position that involves a lot of money is corrupt. And I'm pretty sure there are no (or at least only very few) exceptions.

I'm not surprised by anything any more.

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

They are mostly businessmen and it is a business after all.

I'd like to think that FIFA shouldn't exist as it is. FIFA should exist and be headed by country FAs as they are, not a single governing body like it currently exists governing them all. All members have representation, are equal and all get a say in rules and policies.

EDIT: Hold on that doesn't make sense...I'll think this over some more.

Hmm, pie.

I hope the World Cup@ Qattar bombs..... only gonna watch Russia/usa games everyone else will loose 1 rating

Yeah, what a coincidence that countries with vast oil resources and dodgy goverments are the next ones to host the world.

It's also a matter of market expansion, at least into the Persian Gulf. Has Russia ever hosted it?

It seems to me that it was mostly the countries that were least adverse to handing out bribes.

I don't doubt that that played a part in it, i'm just saying that they not only did that, but also have the "fairness" factor going for them, fairness in that the main competitors were all the kind of mainstay countries you'd expect to receive such an event, unless the FIFA decision process is supposed to be fundamentally different from the one used by the Olympics people...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

FIFAs secretary general claimed in an email thats just been leaked that Qatar did buy the world cup.

I seriously can't see FIFA coming through this without major changes in structure...
