no its just kind of a fact that many series after they went multi suffered serious quality letdowns...

Examples? And look at Fab's post

Tekken,Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider...the GTAs on Xbox also only was ports...with MGS in mind i just think that Kojima maye would cut much things cause he makes very big games...you know how long the cutscenes are ^^

and in the end it wouldnt be a 100% Kojima game and it would be much greater if stayed exclusive without to cut anything and maybe even downgrading graphics in favor of the other consoles and stuff like that...

Wasn't tomb raider only exclusive for about 2 weeks?  And even then I think the Playstation port had better textures and lighting effects, but I might be wrong.

MGS5 on the NGP? What? I heard that MGS4 was somewhere around the ball park of 30 Gb. So how can MGS5 follow up with less? Not following on that one. Hmmm, well switching devs isn't going to be too much of a problem if the end justifies the means that is, I guess it should be fine. However, Metal Gear Solid, main story, is an IP that is deep-rooted in Playstation. The reactions/fallout, if this were to actually occur, would be huge, but I doubt it would happen.

Two words: SOUND COMPRESSION.

Kojima is a sound whore. He wanted uncompressed sound in every part of the game. If MGS4 was really 30 GB, it could be knocked down to about 15 easily. MGS5 that coluld fit on the NGP/3DS is possible/

Wasn't it more like 50GB?

And audio wouldn't take up 35GB, the soundtrack isn't that big either. While a lot of things are uncompressed, the game size is still pretty huge.

15gb is far too big for the 3DS and probably the NGP too.

@TT Makeveli  ok im going to have to stop you right there. DMC maybe, Tekken 6 sucking has nothing to do with 360 and everything to do with crappy design decisions, hell the PSP version is better than the HDs, TR??? They have always been multiplat always. unless your not counting PC, which i do. and that series started sucking when they milked it on PS1 it only got better after it went "multiplat" funny how that works    And i seriously doubt that MGS5 will be multiplat at least with the portables, they'll pull a compilation thing and the portables just might be side stories or different games, hell they could be remakes of the MG 1 & 2

Okay, now I'm interested in Rising. Hopefully, they redesign the game and remove the stop and slash concept. It looked clunky and boring.

Well , metal gear solid 1 and 2 are already on the PC.

Konami's PC ports have sucked That I've played, as in the suckiest of the suckiest of ports. Silent Hill's 2-4, and Metal Gear Solid 2.

I remember Metal Gear Solid actually being a pretty good port. I also have Batman Returns Game, and a Ninja Turtles: Manhatten missions. And those were pretty good. Don't think they were ports.

I'm not really excited, for Rising anymore if that's true. I like Kamiya a lot and all, but changing directors in the middle of a project is not normally the recipe for success.

Tekken: Is the only one I will give you

Tomb Raider: Was left behind in the times. If you go back they are just about as good as they are now. They never evolved.

DMC: Switched Dev houses, no?

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

okay...i also really just suffered personally because of Tekken  (as a huge Tekken fan...now im hoping for a DOA5 to satisfy me this Gen) ^^

I just think that the PS3 is just more capable when it comes to cutting-edge technology and pushing the envelope and Microsoft is a bad breath of air in the console-business...they just "bought" theyself in the console war...result?once exclusive games becoming multi, fully potential of once exclusives games never were reached (or was reached before cutting and downgrading it for the Xbox in FF XIIIs case)

Of course Microsoft also did good things like Xbox Live  and they advertisement is awesome...they really can make things bigger than they really are but i really dont care that much about online or advertisment...i care about games...i think Xbox is also stopping a new GTA this Gen...cause after GTA IV in Liberty City GTA fans definatly want a new, better, bigger GTA and i think a GTA San Andreas 2 or a bigger City in general is definatly impossible on the Xbox....again a minus to the multiplat-decision...but what means decision...its not like that some Developers said "ohh cmon lets also do this on Xbox even if we cant get the best out of it" its more like "okay we now also got to do this on Xbox...why?look at the money on my desk"...
