You can't be serious. There have been plenty of good Konami games in that time span he had nothing to do with. His Castlevania is hardly considered the best over the last 5 years. Also are we seriously still bringing up Zone of the Enders as his recent credits? He hasn't made one of those in a good 8 years.

tbh I was thinking along the lines of releases for home consoles, and I haven't played a contra game in a looong time :S how was Hard Corps?

tho using the term only was a bit harsh, you get my point tho. He is the most exciting dev they have, and nothing, at least for me. tops MGS or ZOE. Heck I only played a bit of the new Castlevania and thought it was very good (didn't like the combat all too much tho)

Haven't played that one. I was thinking of ReBirth and Contra 4.

But yeah, I get what you're saying. They're lacking this gen compared to the past.

But back during the MSX and NES days, as well as the PS1 era? They were probably amongst the best, if not THE best. I could list many Konami games that were great which weren't by Kojima (note: this is just a rambling, not a way of disagreeing with you or anything).

All is not well with Konami, apparently. Hopefully just a blip on the radar, as too many big Japanese producers have been jumping ship from their major companies lately...

There's a difference though between them not making good games, and them not making games that appeal to you. Most of those games don't appeal to me, particularly Pro Evolution, but I can still appreciate that it's quality software. Your original post said they weren't making any good games outside of Kojima Productions, but your latter post suggests they're just simply not your types of games. Big difference.
