Forums - Gaming Discussion - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is just so awesome.

Currently playing and it is good so far.

Yeah it seems the story line doesn't hold much to AC 2's but the gameplay, design and almost every other aspect is superior to its predecessors. That makes the game so awesome to me.

The only thing you really need a walkthru for in Brotherhood is Subject 16's messages.  There's really no hint or clue so to their location and it's a matter of always being in Eagle Vision and just finding on by happenstance.

For the feathers and flags you can purchase maps at the Art dealers and then it's just the time consuming task of gathering them all.  I have yet to start multiplayer with the game (I finished up everything in SP, achievements, side missions, etc) but it all seems pretty straightforward and fun.

AC2 > AC:B > AC1.

Brotherhood wasn't as story driven as 2, but the gameplay was much more improved.  If Brotherhood could have mangled up a better story it'd be the best in the series in my opinion.

Yeah as I progressed more into the game, realized that its only for the subject 16's messages a walkthru is needed. I happened to find atleast one accidentally...

What are you two talking about?

They are marked just like AC2 and then you only need to use the Eagle Vision. No more difficult than part 2 and frankly there is NEVER a need for a walk through. pansy.

It was a great game, but I wish it would have had more cities to explore, like the previous games. That was the only negative for me.

I think Assassin's Creed II is better and more polished. The free running controls still aren't very good at all and the stealth missions are still awful.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Personally I prefer ACII. It was just an all round more polished product. The missions were better thought out and the story mode was done very well. The evolution from ACI was also far more pronounced.

Brotherhood seemed to take the gameplay from ACII and refine it but there were missions and segments especially towards the end where they felt short and rushed. A good game and I enjoyed it, but II is still the better game imo.

Yes it is a fantastic game, but I would say Assassin's Creed 2 is still the best in the series.  But I like the amount of things one can do in Brotherhood.  Just so much goodness.

Really if it wasn't for the slight change in the battle system for Brotherhood (and well that god damn ending) it might have actually been over it.  But all of this just means, I can't wait for Revelations.  Assassin's Creed, for me, is easily the best new franchise of this generation and can't wait for more from them.

i haven't got it yet, hell i don't think i'll get it anytime soon, i'm still not in the mood for repetitiveness, while the second game is leaps and bounds better than the first, its very easy which makes every mission attempt snorefest, Ubisoft always does that, and they do it for the sales, but Eidos on the other hand does the whole stealth thing a lot better, so i'm thinking of just skipping on the whole series, since the storyline didn't get me much, its just trying too hard to be Metal Gear-like while at the same time being cliche as hell GTA-like.
