Forums - Sales Discussion - Mario x3 in WW sales?

I did some math and by the looks of it, the top 3 selling games worldwide from 15 to 22 December might very well be 3 Mario Games.

M&S @ Olympics, followed by SMG and ending with MP DS.

If it confirms Is this a first ever in the 21st century?

I think there were a couple of times this has happened in the past, over NES and SNES combined with GB and GBA. But I don't remember anything like it in the last 10 years...

I assume Wii sports is not a part of the equation, that game will be #1 this week.

Mario's comeback? Mario didn't need a comeback. Mario has been an undying series haha. I can't remember a Mario game that didn't sell well.

im not counting bundles. forgot to mention that. to me bundled games count as software sales only when they are bundled with software. keeps my math clean. in europe wii sports comes with the wii so realistic sales are wii sports wholesales minus wii sales, which would ammount to zero, relying on vgc figures. so...i dont count them :) same goes for wii play on japan.

comeback? more like mario shows why he is THE icon of gaming

I can't wait to see this week's numbers. I want to know the current gap between SMG and Halo 3. If you look at the weekly sales for the two, it's clear that SMG is gaining on Halo 3 very, very quickly.

[edit] It looks like SMG will be tracking ahead of New Super Mario Bros once the final tally comes up.

Mario's never been gone. Now people relize how great an italian plumber and his friends truley are.

If I were _____________then maybe I would have friends

Mario is like god and is with us at all times. :)
