Will MHP3 HD remake for PS3 outsell MH3 for Wii (in Japan)?

yes 152 51.70%

no 142 48.30%

Total:294

If Capcom can nail down pricing, then I say yes.

I haven't been keeping up, but I thought that PS3 version was a downloadable title? Am I wrong?

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I was reading the press release from IGN and hey mentioned physical blu-ray disc

Sony today announced a PSP Remaster series of titles that will ship on Blu-ray discs for PlayStation 3 starting first in Japan.

The games will be "customized and developed" specifically for PS3 and include additional features such as Sixaxis support, new add-on content, and/or stereoscopic 3D support. Save files will be transferable back and forth between the original PSP game and the PS3 version. Ad-hoc mode gameplay will also be supported though the "adhoc party for PlayStation Portable" application on the PS3 system but not with every title. Sony notes the application is not supported on the 20GB model (CECHB00) which does not include Wi-Fi.

In Japan, the first PSP Remaster title will be Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. from Capcom. "The graphics of the PS3 version, including monsters, fields, equipment, as well as Felyne Comrades, are more gorgeous and vibrant than ever, and will deliver dynamic gameplay when played on the large TV screens," Sony said.

No other details, such as a North American or Europe release plans, were revealed at this time. The press release notes that PSP "blockbuster games" will be remastered, so the selection will likely be limited to top-selling titles only.

Depends: is it pay 2 play online like the Wii version? If no, it has a chance, but if yes then there is no way it will outsell the Wii version.

MH3 was subscription based (after the first 30 days). If online is free, which i assume it will be given that it is the PSP version, then yes.

On march 31, 2010, Capcom shipped 1.15 million units. Probably a little over 1.2 million units shipped by now, I don't think they'll sell any more shipments in Japan.
