yay more people unemployed, just what the USA needs. Oh well, economic disaster is imminent.

Are you suggesting that these people should remain employed for the sake of being employed? That mindset is what leads to the misallocation of resources, which is what will lead to any economic disaster.

you can shift devs to different projects that could use the assistance versus laying them off.

If those devs were requiring assistance, they'd be hiring, anyway. So whilst it's not the same people being employed, it would still have the same net effects on employment.

Like it isn't already happening for the US.

No natural resources, no major maufacturing presence and top class engineers and sciencists are being pumped out of US/UK/AUS/European Univerisitys and shipped back to Asia, having local students miss out in the thousands. An economy that relies entirely on Serivices is a disaster waiting to happen. Luckly being Australian we have mining to support us. If we didn't have that we would be in an hole like you americans.

did you just say the US has no natural resources?

He also said they have no manufacturing presence, despite the US being the largest manufacturer in the world. But, hey ho.

America may very well be the most resource rich nation/region in the entire world.

whats stupid is that we dont even use it. we should be energy independent

i dissagree with many of you. I ablsolutely loved MAG and i also love SOCOM 4 and no im not a fan. I only got MAG because a friend told me about it and SOCOM 4 is the first SOCOM i have ever played. I am very upset in fact im devistated to hear this as Zipper has probably been my favourite developer on the PS3.

If it's cheaper to import, why force higher prices on everybody, for the sake of being independant? Remember, the USA may be dependant on foreign nations for oil... but those nations are also dependant on the USA for the oil money.

What energy resources are you talking about? When it comes to oil and gas, the U.S. has less reserves than other countries (I think Russia is the top in gas).

Apparently the U.S. has the most coal, but that's the dirtiest fossil fuel, not something you want to burn quickly to become energy independent.

Still, I agree that it's ridiculous to say the U.S. has no natural resources.

Yeah, in terms of oil, it relies on Middle Eastern countries.
