Uncharted 3 is coming out 1 day before BF3 and 1 week before MW3. Two heavy hitters with proven track records and huge marketing campaigns behind them.

I think EA and Activision are going to aggressively advertise their games and U3 might get lost in the middle.

In 2009, U2 had a good month head start on MW2 and CoD wasnt even as popular back then as it is now.

Do you think U3 sales will be hurt by BF3 and MW3? Will a Kevin Butler U3 commercial look flat out silly compared to one of those epic CoD commercials?

Meh i dont think those games are going to hurt U3, i think it is those games and the others too, lets face it, it is a loaded end of the year, that will most likely have to be split up with xmas presents. GoW3 will be out, BF3, CODMW3, Ratchet and clank, another new assassins creed, elder scrolls skyrim, and others. that is tough for even the games ive mentioned. Its going to be a gaming xmas that is for sure!

I'm going to tell everyone I know with a PS3 they HAVE to buy Uncharted 3. I expect about 10 copies will be sold due to my preaching efforts. Now everyone out there do the same and there won't be a problem.

The same thing happened in 2009 when MW and uncharted 2 came out pretty close. Uncharted 2 has legs. MW has legs too, but it doesn't hurt Uncharted. 

muahaha i will do the same...so this is done...now Sony just got to do something and advertise it good and we will have a super-sucessful Uncharted ^^

We should have a competition and see who can get the most people to buy U3 the first week of release...

It's possible that people might save their money for MW or BF isntead of UC, but the Uncharted franchise has earned it's name as one of the best new franchises this gen. Anybody who played UC1 and 2 will not hesitate to buy this game. Anyways, I don't think it will be affect very much.

Also, CoD commercial are not that epic.

No, If anything U3 might snag a few people from BF3 and MW3.

Don't forget Elder scrolls 5: Skyrim, wich comes 10 days after Uncharted 3
