To answer question 3.

Get him to play the Megadrive/Mega CD games. He will never look at a 3D Sonic again.

If he likes games like The Dark Brotherhood, the 2D games will always feel somewhat inferior

Sonic Adventure 2 is the 2nd best game of all time in my eyes, and thus clearly best in its franchise, and thus i've never quite loved the 2d games as much of the 3d ones (and has put me against popular core gamer opinion regarding 3d sonics for quite some time)

Hopefully, the kid is not as crazy as you.

Just kidding :P I know getting into older games can be hard. I grew up with N64 and always saw the 2D consoles as vastly inferior when I was a kid, and still did for a while when I was older.

It's only recently thanks to a strange turn of events that I have gotten into retro gaming. And when I played the 2D Sonics for the first time in a long while (I had Sonic CD on PC when I was really young), they felt really primitive. But after playing them for some time, there really is no going back for me. To me, the 2D Sonics absolutely crush the 3D ones, in every way imaginable except pure technical graphics.

I LOVE ICELAND!

You are doing your brother a great disservice by getting the PC version of a console game.

Then again, there's something wrong with him anyway. I can't believe someone actually likes Sonic Chronicles. That game is so bad on so many levels. No matter how you look at this game, it's just terrible.

idk. They set up a pretty good story until they threw the whole plot into outer space.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Weren't you one of the leaders of the Sonic Support Squad? Whatever happened?

EDIT: I still have that crap in my sig and I'm starting to realize no one else does. I'm assuming the group fell apart during my long hiatus.

to answer #3, have him play Sonic Unleashed. if that game doesnt make him hate Sonic idk what will.

^^^ i remember getting that SOnic 2 genesis bundle like it was yesterday

@mr. khan Sonic Adventure 2??? i dont know whether to clap or have you admitted. i like the game myself but whenever your not playing with SOnic or Shadow it goes down hill. especially Knuckles & Rouge

Your brother is 9 and you want to take his enjoyment from Sonic from him? Really, you could probably give to him one of the worst Sonic games ever made (*cough*Shadow the Hedgehog*cough) and he would probably love it.

I know if he is a fan he will believe the game is good just because it has Sonic and his friends on it.

Not that is a bad thing, really. Don't you also love things that other people hate? Looking at your avatar, you seems to be a  Naruto fan. I know a lot of people who keeps telling me that Naruto sucks and how they can't stand Naruto.

The Gamecube version ran much better than the PS2 version. (My friend had the PS2 version and we compared.) So if you have a Wii, you're golden.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

Regarding point 3.

No, there is no way to beat the Sonic addiction.  I bought Sonic and the Black Knight due to blue blur withdrawals.  If it was the exact same game and called Klonoa and the Black Knight, I would have never played it .

I feel your pain, man.

saddest part is if it was Klonoa and the Black Knight it probably would have also been a very different, and better game.

How are you feeling about Generations?

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
