Me and all of my friends prefer a wide range of genres including COD, does that mean that the Xbox base is now diverse? I also have PS3 friends who only play Fifa and COD, does that make it the shooter/football box? In real life examples are pointless and non applicable, after all - COD is the highest grossing franchise on PS3 and is most likely the first game to break 10m(if it didn't already).

2. if an xbox consumer went to the shop and was allowed to pre order 1 game cod or gears because most likely there mates play cod and its more well known name

The pre order numbers will probably slow down after E3. GOW 3 is like the only exklusive game xbox360 has and they will probably annonce more at E3( and forza 4 but that is not that big).
