Forums - General Discussion - The Bulls just might win the NBA title

I am not one to make guarantees, but I think that there are several reasons to be very positive if you are a Chicago Bulls fan.  I realize that the NBA's oddsmakers are making the Miami Heels...  er... um... I mean Heat the early favorites in their series against the Bulls and will tell you that if Derrick Rose and company are to win the series that it will take a Herculean effort by their defense.  I'm not denying that the Bulls defense will be a substantial factor in a possible Bulls title run, but it's not the X-factor.

The X-Factors are:

Derrick Rose is the MVP of the league for a reason:  He has the speed of Allen Iverson, the athleticism of Michael Jordan, the shooting ability of Chauncey Billups, and the court vision of Jason Kidd.  I heard that somewhere.  Seriously though, he was far and away the top player in the league this year.  He has ice water in his veins and is as tough as nails.

The Miami Heat might have "The Big Three",  but the Bulls have an entire team:  Honestly, besides for Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh who do the Heat have?   Miller?  Haslem?  I'll take Kyle Korver and Taj Gibson over 5 Millers and 5 Haslems.  Also, Carlos Boozer now appears to be at 100% and some would argue that he's as good as the power forward for the Heat when he's healthy.  And Luol Deng's quite possibly the most underrated player in the league.  And Joakim Noah's an absolute beast on the glass.  And... you get the point.

The Bulls beat the Heat handily the last time that they met in the playoffs:  Look it up.

Lebron James cleared the obstacle that he needed to:  After defeating the Celtics, Lebron said that he came over to the Heat to clear the obstacle that he couldn't.  He could never beat the Celtics.  Word on the street is that the defensive coach of those Celtics teams that stopped him repeatedly left for somewhere else though.  Where did that Tom Thibodeau guy go?  I heard that he's done pretty well for himself this year.  Which brings me to...

The Heat's series win over the Celtics wasn't really that impressive:  I'm not saying that the Celtics didn't have a great run, but let's look at the facts.

Fact:  First off, they are a year older.  Their average age is now 78.2 years.  That's old!!!

Fact:  They lead the league in washed up players named O'Neal.

Fact:  Rajon Rondo was playing with only one arm.  Now I know enough to know that if he was at full strength that the Celtics would have definitely won one of, if not both, of their last two games.  Stevie Wonder in a basement with the lights out could have seen that.

The Heat already had two celebrations this year:  The first was when they blew off all of those fireworks and revealed "The Big Three".  Lebron went on to state that they would win not four, not five, not six championships (basically saying that the Heat are going to win 7 titles) and Dwyane Wade guaranteed that they'd win the title this year.  This celebration and talk took place before they even played a game together.  Celebration two was after defeating the Celtics.  It was like Mardis Gras times seven, even though the playoffs are only halfway over.  The Bulls haven't had a celebration yet and probably aren't as tuckered out as the Heat.

The Bulls had the best regular season record in the NBA:  This wasn't by luck and chance.  If you don't believe me, look at their 3-0 record against the Heat.  Will somebody, for the love of God, explain to me why the Heat are favored?  Which brings me to:

The Bulls already made the Heat cry:  The Heat's coach, Eric Spoelstra (sp?) admitted that after a regular season loss to the Bulls that there were players in the locker room crying.  If they were crying in the locker room then, imagine what will happen after the Bulls beat them in a playoff game.

God wants the Bulls to win:  I don't truly believe this, but I just wanted to see if after I typed this up if it was just as stupid as when Charles Barkley said it about the Suns in 1993.  It is.

Pat Riley secretly wants the Heat to fail this year:  He knows that Spoelstra can't coach the Heat to a championship.  Immediately after the loss, Riley will fire him and take over as coach in hopes of winning the title next year so he can be told how brilliant of a coach he is.  Don't believe it?  Ask Stan Van Gundy if I'm right.

Last but not least, Lebron James rhymes with choke:  No more needs to be said about this.

So in conclusion, I'm not saying that they definitely will, but the Bulls just might win the NBA title.

I'm not a gambling man, but I'm pretty confident that it will be a Bulls / Mavericks final.

I'm used to hockey, where it seems like one can never predict an upcoming series. I basketball, it seems like its easier to tell who's going to win. Personally, I'd like the heat to win. At least the series will be entertaining, and hopefully full of drama.

OP, I love you.

THERE IS NO TEAM IN THE NBA WHO CAN BEAT THE BULLS IN A SEVEN GAME SERIES.

quote me.

You read my fucking mind.  For years, after Jordan retired, I was ashamed to tell people that I was born in Chicago.  I'd tell them I was from Germany and use a fake German accent.  Well, I watched the Bulls off and on this season.  About two months ago, I became a beleiver!

For a few weeks now, I've been telling anybody that will listen that the Bulls are going to be our 2011 NBA Champions.  Soon, the world will know.  Soon..........l.

been saying it this entire time. Dallas is gonna win it all!! Dereck rose will probably win a few down the line  since he is still young but this is dirk nowitzkis last best shot of winning a title and he knows it.
