^^ has SKUs on 2 new models, the 3000 series. Slims were 2000 series. As of right now, gamestop is having a sale for ps3, at 100$ off.

Now, granted all the bullshit and drama that's been happening with psn as of late. These pieces of evidence hint at a new sku unveiling at e3 at a price drop, exactly the way the slim was introduced. FYI, when the slim was shown, ps3s were already starting to get discounted several weeks before e3. Then at e3, they announced 100$ price drop on all models, to cost exactly the same as the slim.

What do you think?

More importantly, my ps3 broke several weeks ago....do I wait? Or, do I buy one now?

wait. There is no doubt there will be a sale coming up this year and E3 is the most logical place for that to be pronounced.

The new sku is likely just cheaper to make but does the same thing, maybe a bigger harddrive but thats about it, if you can get it 100 off now I'd buy it now

well, yes, but premium users is a free membership, so...

Or at the most, it's 15$ for the silver membership. I'm still researching that part.

So, apparently, you have to sign up as a brand new customer in order to receive the offer. It is targeted at new customers, so people who have bought ps3 games on their card before will not get the offer to buy one.

I just thinking now... I guess Sony won't cut $100 off... $50 is more reasonable for the moment.

just remember, the last price cut from 400$ to 300 was 2 years ago. And in the meantime, there's been 349$ SKUs available.
