Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was captured in 2003 in Pakistan through a joint effort of the ISI and American forces.

There are reasons like him, like bin Laden and so on. Now if you can't find that mans name at all in whatever your reading then your not reading the 9/11 com report.

That's not the same as saying Pakistan was harbouring them pre 9/11 which is what you said. They were in hiding after the invasion of Afghanistan which is post 9/11. Like practically every single senior figures of the Taliban and Al Qaeda and a lot of them fled to Pakistan and hid there nothing new about that and not what we were discussing. What a wasted exercise this has been.

If you'll remember your original point: That before 2002 US-Pakistani relations, the nation was not harboring terror that would eventually be exported.

And with that said, I reffer to my post above on Khalid if you do not know; he had been in Pakistan working with al Qaeda since at the latest 1997. The 9/11 com report  is pretty clear about this where it indicates the terror attack was designed by elements within Pakistan. This was part of the original popular grievance when we decided to invade Iraq and Afghanistan.

Actually that wasn't my point, I was talking about OBL and the 9/11 plots were implemented in the UAE and Germany though probably hatched in Afghanistan.

"Wherever American military aid goes, violence normally follows it and increases tenfold in the region. Look at Pre 9/11, Pakistan was much more stable." ~ You

I'm exploring what you call stable, I'm saying I don't see the exporting of terror as point anyone sane should like to call stable. It's downright pathetic to say: "Well they can kill a few thousand people in America as long as it keeps the region stable." It's just another of the same argument that the problem is the West and not the threat to it.

It's sadomasochistic and nihilistic from a westerner and an indoctrination to villainy from anything else.

But Pakistan wasn't exporting terror to the US though. Sure it recognised the Taliban and gave them support (so did the UAE and Saudi Arabia and the Clinton administration even tried to do business with them) that's as far as it went. In fact the FBI still haven't even provided conclusive proof OBL was behind 9/11 hence they never mentioned 9/11 on the reason why he was the most wanted man on earth and Bin Laden wasn't in Pakistan. It was well known if the US took major military action rather then leave it to the likes of the FBI and CIA (i.e detective/police work) then terrorism would multiply tremendously. And it did. The death and destruction it has wrought in Pakistan/Afghanistan/Iraq has created tens of thousands of jihadist militants and all for what? The pockets of Halliburton and major arms manufacturers? Iraq was a massive strategic failure. The war in Afghanistan looks increasingly likely it will have to end in a political solution rather than a military one. Nuclear armed Pakistan is in deep serious trouble. The world has never felt less safe and Goverments around the world are attacking civil liberties left, right and centre. It has been an utter waste of lives and money. Hundreds of thousands dead and well over $1 trillion spent, money that could've been spent on word wide aid and repairing the creaking US infrastrucure, inefficient health care system and creating jobs. This is the reality, it's the truth so don't try and take the moral high ground.

Excuse me but reading through what you just typed; I don't see a reason to comment, you seemed to just rant about every tangent angle all having nothing to do with with my argument except in maybe the most indirect way. I'm not going to make any assumptions for why your avoiding my point, if you want a second go at it I'll look out for another post.

If you've forgotten my point then it's in the quote above, I also mentioned the accused and found guilty orchestrator of 9/11 who was hiding out in Pakistan since 97/98, I'm not sure why you brought up bin Laden and Pakistan if you yourself say he wasn't in Pakistan and I'm not saying anyone else disagrees with you.

It's not a matter of moral position, I'm rewording what your saying so I can see if you understand what your saying, it's an execrise in that way to see if you are psychopathic. (If you are one who enjoys enlightnement values)
