Man you have a negative feel about Hollywood. Studios do produce origional works all the time just look at Inception.

To me, it's not being original, it's being good. As some people have pointed out, the Star Trek Voyager episode "Threshold" was a unique episode. But it was so godawful, there was a reason it was unique. Although most of the rest of the show showed that being conventional but really bland is only a little better.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Threshold would have made a more believable series finale, especially given that they clearly figured out how to counteract the mutation problems, and then you've got instantaneous travel anywhere in the damn universe figured out, it would've been a good cap for the Trek series in that direction chronologically.

The poorness of Threshold came from where they placed it in the story, then the fact that they managed to fix the problems it had yet never mentioned it again (the writers realizing it was a gamebreaker at that point)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

That and trying to explain it with a total misunderstanding of biology, to the laughable salamander people at the end.
