hello vgc comunity

i had a long brak ion vgc but i`m back now anyways

i just bought fear 2 project origin for the pc as i read about the game i heard it was a steam game only so that was also a reason for me too buy it but now while i`m installing it there is no message from steam its just installing like any other pc game is that normal? or am i doing something wrong? there is also no product key in the box either

You probably got the Games for Windows version,  so it isnt only for Steam.  So I imagine that everything is going fine,  I do find it odd there is no code though,  I figured it would be but I havent bought a physical copy of a PC game in a couple years

its not a steam game as far as i know. On the steam store it is not listed as supporting steamworks. I dont think it is a gfwl game either, as you would of had to install the gfwl program.

edit: after some google searches it is mentioned that it uses steam for drm. so now i am unsure.

well on the box it says steamworks on it but no code no steam no gfwl nothing just like a plain normal pc game i´d really like to play it through steam though oh and btw it is a games for windows version

where did you buy the box?

hmmm as fas as I can remember I was forced to insall it via Steam. Just like Modern Warfare 2
